What would Prop 133 change?

Under current law, judges have a range of sentencing options for trafficking a minor for s*xual servitude, depending on the case and applicable sentencing rules.

Prop 133 would require life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for qualifying convictions, replacing that sentencing range with a mandatory sentence.

The distinction matters: this applies to a conviction for the specific crime covered by the measure—not simply an accusation or arrest.
