For the first time ever Colorado Springs is showing the Movie 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐓: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐣𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 as part of our efforts to raise awareness for Development Disability Awareness Month.

Standout tells the powerful true story of Ben Kjar, who was born with Crouzon Syndrome, a rare craniofacial disorder. Despite facing bullying, surgeries, and countless challenges, Ben found strength through wrestling and learned to transform adversity into determination and confidence.

💃🕺 Exciting News from Special Olympics Colorado!

Dance Sport is coming to Colorado as a NEW sports offering—and we couldn’t be more excited! 🎉

This fall, Dance Sport will launch as a pilot sport, but first, athletes have the opportunity to participate in a special Dance Showcase at The Broadmoor on May 9!

Dance Sport is open to athletes ages 8 and up and includes a variety of styles and categories. Whether you love dancing solo, with a partner, or as part of a team—there’s a place for you! Unified partners (friends or family members) are welcome for duos, couples, and teams.

✨ Dance Styles Include:
• Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba & more!)
• Streetdance (Hip Hop, Breaking, Electric Boogie)
• Performing Arts (Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary)
• Specialty (Bollywood, Flamenco, LaBlast & more)

We are looking for athletes interested in a multi-week training program leading up to the showcase. Already taking dance classes? You’re welcome to use your current routines and invite friends! Need help with music, costumes, or choreography? We’ve got you covered.
