For lunch on Saturday, we will be reserving a block of tables at West
Main Taproom if you are interested, but there are
many other fine restaurants in the area. We will have a list available.
(Individual parties are responsible for payment

Parking is available in the main parking lot or in theater parking lot. You WILL be towed if you park in the lot east of the hotel.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Light Of The Word Ministry is on the move again! This time we will be in Parker, CO for a weekend in the Scriptures, where we will be learning more about “Our Walk In Christ!”

We will be at The Parker Hotel at 18595 Mainstreet, Parker, CO on Saturday, October 17th, from 9:00 a.m. until around 5:00 p.m, and Sunday the 18th from 9:00 a.m. until noon. It promises to be an exciting adventure. We Are the Church:
The One Body in Christ

The Aramaic word for “church” is “idtha.” Taken together, the meanings of the ancient pictographs can be “to experience the door of the covenant of the strong one, or strong leader.”

The covenant between God, who is the strong one or strong leader, and us, His Church, is a solemn and binding promise, rooted in love, grace, and unwavering faithfulness. God’s covenant was initiated by the life, death, and resurrection of the perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ. He died on our behalf, so that through him we might have life.

God remains true to His promises. Jesus leads us through the door to the Holy of Holies, to experience all the promises of God Almighty, THE STRONG ONE, thriving under God’s grace and unearned favor.

WHAT IS A WITNESS?

“But when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will receive power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and also among the Samaritans, even to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 APNT

​​This is the assignment given to the apostles by Jesus on the day of his Ascension. It is also the believers’ current assignment until
our Lord returns for us. But what exactly does this mean for us today? What are we supposed to do as a witness?

The Aramaic word “ed,” meaning “witness, holds important clues to this question. The first letter is “ayin” and means simply “eye.” It can also mean “to see, to watch, to know, or to experience.” The second letter is “dalet” and means “door.” It can also mean "to enter" or "entrance."

Putting these characters together, the word “witness” can mean, “to experience the door,” or “to experience how to go in the door.” Our witness, our testimony (our eyewitness account, which no one can dispute) tells folks what God has done for us. We tell OUR story! This can show them that if God can do such great things for us, He can and will do great things for them as well. We show them how they too
can go in the door to experience God’s goodness and graciousness!

JOYFEST 2026
“Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1 KJV).

Indeed, how good and pleasant it is for brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ to dwell together in unity. JoyFest 2026 is now past, and God alone knows what comes next, but it was a “today” example of how we in the Body of Christ, members in particular, can live, eat, pray, worship, rejoice, play, sing, dance, and celebrate one another simply for being a brother or sister in Christ. We honored each testimony of victory. We shared compassion in each trial and ministered to one another in love. We broke bread together (A LOT!!!). We prayed together. We shed tears of laughter, tears of joy, and tears of sadness. Mostly, we laughed, with much laughter!

It was the One Body of Christ coming together, like a beautifully harmonious symphony, simply to celebrate our wonderful heavenly Father and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. It was like a “mini hope,” perhaps a small vision of what it will be like when we are gathered together and dwell in the new heaven and new earth “wherein dwells righteousness!”

We will feature the musical stylings of our dear friend, Tim Stiles. He and his beautiful wife, Kathy, are touring the countryside for a bit and are gracing us with their presence.

THE TRANSFORMED LIFE: Casting Down Strongholds

Recently, the team packed up and went to Columbus, Ohio, where we have been privileged to share two previous times, to present more on the “weapons of our warfare” from 2Corinthians 10:4:
“For the equipment of our service is not of the flesh, but of the power of God, and by it, we overcome rebellious strongholds.” (APNT). Ephesians 6:10-17 lays out what our “armor of God” consists of, and during our time together in Columbus, our teachers, Jan Magiera and Sid Helmus, beautifully taught in greater depth HOW to wield our weapons to effectively overcome the attacks of our enemy.

We learned about the “sacrifice of praise,” that praise/worship is a weapon that we can use at any moment of any day. A beautiful quote: “I fight on my knees with my hands held high.” We take a posture of worship with our hands held upward, ready to receive from our Father.

We also learned about “strongholds”: what they are, how to recognize them, and what our weapons are against specific strongholds. Forgiveness was also a profound theme throughout the weekend. As difficult as it may seem, sometimes we need to recognize where we need to forgive in order to be released from a stronghold we are caught in.
