JOYFEST 2026
“Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1 KJV).

Indeed, how good and pleasant it is for brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ to dwell together in unity. JoyFest 2026 is now past, and God alone knows what comes next, but it was a “today” example of how we in the Body of Christ, members in particular, can live, eat, pray, worship, rejoice, play, sing, dance, and celebrate one another simply for being a brother or sister in Christ. We honored each testimony of victory. We shared compassion in each trial and ministered to one another in love. We broke bread together (A LOT!!!). We prayed together. We shed tears of laughter, tears of joy, and tears of sadness. Mostly, we laughed, with much laughter!

It was the One Body of Christ coming together, like a beautifully harmonious symphony, simply to celebrate our wonderful heavenly Father and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. It was like a “mini hope,” perhaps a small vision of what it will be like when we are gathered together and dwell in the new heaven and new earth “wherein dwells righteousness!”

We will feature the musical stylings of our dear friend, Tim Stiles. He and his beautiful wife, Kathy, are touring the countryside for a bit and are gracing us with their presence.

THE TRANSFORMED LIFE: Casting Down Strongholds

Recently, the team packed up and went to Columbus, Ohio, where we have been privileged to share two previous times, to present more on the “weapons of our warfare” from 2Corinthians 10:4:
“For the equipment of our service is not of the flesh, but of the power of God, and by it, we overcome rebellious strongholds.” (APNT). Ephesians 6:10-17 lays out what our “armor of God” consists of, and during our time together in Columbus, our teachers, Jan Magiera and Sid Helmus, beautifully taught in greater depth HOW to wield our weapons to effectively overcome the attacks of our enemy.

We learned about the “sacrifice of praise,” that praise/worship is a weapon that we can use at any moment of any day. A beautiful quote: “I fight on my knees with my hands held high.” We take a posture of worship with our hands held upward, ready to receive from our Father.

We also learned about “strongholds”: what they are, how to recognize them, and what our weapons are against specific strongholds. Forgiveness was also a profound theme throughout the weekend. As difficult as it may seem, sometimes we need to recognize where we need to forgive in order to be released from a stronghold we are caught in.

HE IS RISEN!

These words have reverberated through generations since the angel first uttered them to Mary and the other women as they stood peering into the empty tomb, forever altering the course of countless lives. Our Lord and Savior allowed his body to be tortured, mutilated, and killed so that we could be made whole, in every category: mentally, physically, spiritually, and in every aspect of our lives! He shed his blood and presented it on the mercy seat as a substitute for us, as legal payment for what we owed, but could never pay. His blood then became a legal covenant, a binding contract that cannot be broken. It provided for us remission of ALL our sins. We were declared “NOT GUILTY!” In that declaration, our Lord escorts us into the Holy of Holies to be in the presence of our Father. No longer are we slaves to sin and sickness, but children of El Shaddai: God Almighty, creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Jehovah Jireh knew us and saw us before the worlds were formed and provided us with a way back to Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ, with his broken body, bought for each of us the legal right to complete wholeness.

“…BY HIS STRIPES WE WERE HEALED.” (1PETER 2:24)

When we view the empty tomb, we can know that it is a present-day NOW reality that we can LEGALLY claim every moment of every day! Let us hold fast to the confession of our faith and claim, with confidence and boldness, that ALL of God’s promises and oaths will be fulfilled in our lives!

LOVE IS THE REFUGE
The Aramaic word for “love” is “khuba.” The first letter is “kheth” and is the pictograph of a fence. The next letter is “beth.” It is a pictograph of a tent or house with walls that enclose the home as a refuge for the family. A refuge functions as a place of hiding from any undesirable person or situation. The simple word picture for love is “the fence of the family.”
The root verb, “khav” means to kindle, be set on fire, to be dear, loved, or cherished. There is a related Hebrew word “chabab," which Strong’s defines as “to hide (as in the bosom), to cherish." This paints a beautiful picture of the shepherd caring for his flock.
Isaiah 40:11 ESV
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
The shepherd wore a large outer mantle with a fold or pocket sewn inside. When a lamb was sick, injured, or needed extra tending, the shepherd would lift the lamb up and place it inside the pocket, and carry it, while caring for it until it was able to continue on its own. What a beautiful picture of how our Father loves and cares for us. We are hidden in God’s arms and cherished.

We are about a month out from our, not to miss, life changing event in Columbus, Ohio: "OUR SPIRITUAL WEAPONS: CASTING DOWN STRONGHOLDS." The purpose of this time together is so that we, individually and as the The Body of Christ, can become adept at recognizing the strongholds of the Evil One and with the powerful "weapons of our warfare," we will learn how to "put on the whole armor of God, so that you will be able to engage the Evil [one] and, being prepared in everything, you WILL stand firm." (Ephesians 6:13 APNT)

Aramaic 101: The Name That Changes Everything: Jesus Christ Our Lord
“Mashakh” Anointed With The Full Measure! AND SO ARE WE!

There are many figures of speech in the Bible. These “figures” draw our attention to and add emphasis to something. We will take a brief look at the word “mashiach.” It comes from Hebrew verb meaning “to anoint,” and it is spelled “meshakh” in Aramaic. This word is a “homonym” or a figure of speech where a word can have the same spelling but have two meanings depending on the context in which it is used. “The first meaning of “meshakh,” is “to saturate, or to pour,” but the second meaning is “to measure.” Aramaic spelling: mem-shin-kheth (mem: water, shin: fullness, kheth: fence) translated, “the water of the fullness of the fence.”

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed
[saturated] me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

For he whom God sent speaks the words of God, for God did not give the Spirit with measure. (ESV puts it this way: “…for he gives the Spirit without measure.”)

concerning Jesus, who was from Nazareth, whom God anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power.

“Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power…and it saturated him.” Look what Jesus did with that anointing!

Now to each one of us is given grace according to the [FULL] (added for emphasis) measure of the gift of Christ.

“God not only anointed Jesus with the full amount of the Spirit, but then he gave it to us as a gift. WE HAVE THE FULL MEASURE OF THE ANOINTING THAT WAS ON JESUS!” Look what we can do!
