💛 From My Heart to Yours 💛

To all who followed, volunteered, and supported Designated Driver of Colorado Springs — thank you. Together, we provided 20,272 safe rides home, helping make our community a safer place. It was truly an honor to serve our city and witness so much kindness and care from all of you.

Although Designated Driver closed in 2014 due to lack of funding, the spirit behind it — helping others during some of life’s most vulnerable moments — has never left me.

Today, I’ve started a new chapter with my business, Loving Presence: End of Life Care. Through this work, I offer emotional and practical support to individuals and families as they navigate the sacred journey at life’s end. It’s deeply meaningful work, rooted in the same compassion that inspired Designated Driver years ago.

There was a time when this intoxicated driver may have called Designated Driver of Colorado Springs for a safe ride home. We provided over 20,000 safe rides home in our community. Although we had people who helped us provide this service, it just wasn't enough to keep us going. These stories will always make me so very sad.
