In April 1991, Madonna was photographed driving her 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL with Michael Jackson in the passenger seat as they left The Ivy in Beverly Hills. Built like a tank, body on frame, permanent AWD, safest in class for it’s time, versatile cargo and stowage areas, and stability control... the ML checked off a lot of “firsts” for what an SUV should offer. Durability is key, and I think it is safe to say my ML isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Happy birthday M-Class... you started an empire.
