🐟 Giving Tuesday: Help Fill the Net

In John 21, Jesus brought 153 fish into the disciples’ net — a beautiful picture of God providing what’s needed at the right time.

This Giving Tuesday, I’m leaning into that story by inviting 153 monthly partners to join LAMP International at levels from $9 to $153/month.

Why 153?
Because early Christians noticed that 153 = 1 + 2 + 3 + … + 17, and I’ve built the giving structure around that same pattern.

Your partnership will help make possible in 2026:
📘 Continued translation of the College Press NIV Commentary Series
🌍 The next Luso-Africa Global Mission Gathering in Mozambique
📚 The launch of the LAMP Digital Library for theological schools across Luso-Africa
And much more — including A Lâmpada and ITCA scholarships.

Be one of the 153:

Let’s see together what God brings into the net.

Hi friends,
For a limited time (July 23–27), Part 2 of The Fisherman’s Net is available for free on Amazon, and I’ve bundled in Part 1 as well—so if you missed the beginning, you can now get both parts at no cost.
Even if you don’t have time to read it right away, simply downloading the book helps. Each download increases the visibility of the work Lamp Publishing produces and helps promote the Portuguese-language resources that we publish for church leaders across Africa.
And if you do read it, I hope it encourages you, challenges you, and gives you a glimpse into the kind of discipleship and mission work we’re passionate about in Luso-Africa.
So whether you’re reading or just downloading to support the cause—thank you.
You’re helping us spread the gospel in creative and tangible ways.
This can count as your boa ação for the day.

☀️ It’s a quiet morning in Ponta do Sol.

Osvaldo sits at O Faroleiro, savoring an espresso and a pastel de nata, and scanning the sky and canopy below for birds.

He thought the waves had calmed—he’d mourned, he’d found direction, and he was ready to move forward.

But the tides are shifting once more.

What started with a fishing net is turning into something far greater.
