Colorado Springs Puppyraisers would like to introduce our two newest puppies in training. 9 week old siblings Bessie (yellow) and Bastian (black). They are from the Petula/Radu litter. Petula was raised in this club. They are the sweetest pair!
PD: A tiny yellow lab sits to the left of her black lab brother. They are both wearing the smallest size puppy in training coats and it’s clear the coats are still a little too big. Their sweet eyes look into the camera.

It is Pupdate time! Be sure to read about Xandy, Edward, Beaumont, and Annika.

Xandy is currently in class, due to graduate on 7/25/2026. Good boy Xandy!

Here are the upgraded phase reports for our pups. Next week will be Pupdates!

Xandy = phase 8
Annika = phase T
Beaumont = phase zero
Edward = phase zero

Phase T: Waiting for Training (will be spayed and recovered first)

Phase Zero�-= Health screenings (x-rays/eyes); agility; kennel enrichment; campus walks, community run intros

Phase 8 �Finishing/maintenance routes; class preparation final tests: a blindfolded GDB instructor tests the dog in the following:
* Obedience
* Guidework
* Work inside buildings
* Final traffic
Dogs that pass these tests are deemed “class ready.”
Other work: finishing routes; pre class phone meetings with clients; hand & chair targeting intros; pole targeting on route; student residence building exposure; pre-class physicals; pre-class meeting with instructor team, training supervisor, dorm manager, and nurses.

13 week old YLF, Tressa, and GLXM, Dougie, learned some Fundamental Puppy Skills at the puppy meeting last night. Dressing up is a fun way to start learning to accept the puppy jacket and head collar.

After 2.5 years, the Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy truck returns to Colorado. They were greeted by 90 puppy raisers and volunteers who had a two hour tailgate party awaiting their arrival.
Colorado Springs, Colorado puppy raisers welcomed two new pups: Tressa and Dougie.
We also said Farewell to Beaumont, Edward, and Annika (flying to CA on Friday.
We will have two more pups coming in July, the anticipation continues.
