Meet the Ambassador: Mike Kane 🏊🚴🏃

Mike recently relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana for a new role, and has been part of the multisport community for more than 35 years as both an athlete and volunteer. Outside of triathlon, he enjoys reading, writing, training, and racing.

His triathlon journey began after competing in several sports through college and looking for a new challenge post-graduation. Introduced to triathlon by a friend while the sport was still growing, he immediately fell in love with the community and competition.

As a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador, he is excited to give back to the sport that has been such a meaningful part of his life and family, while supporting fundraising efforts and continuing to deepen his involvement with the USA Triathlon Foundation and multisport community. Two of his favorite memories are crossing the finish line with both his wife and son in separate years—moments he considers among the most meaningful of his life.

This season, you can find him racing the Ironman 70.3 Galveston, Ironman Texas, Louisiana Tri Championships, and Ironman Jacksonville.💪

On May 16, 19-year-old Blake Bullard stepped onto the start line at the World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama facing two challenges: this was his first-ever World Triathlon Championship Series race and his first-ever Olympic-distance triathlon. ...

Meet the Ambassador: Ed Klein🏊🚴🏃

Ed is from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where he has been part of the multisport community for five years as a member of the Cape Cod Triathlon Team and Steering Committee. He also recently completed the USA Triathlon Race Director Level 1 Certification and will serve as Race Director for the first USAT-sanctioned Cape Cod Indoor Triathlon.

His triathlon journey started with a simple conversation about a friend’s upcoming race and a new sport watch. Within weeks, he signed up for a local event and quickly discovered the incredible multisport community in his area. He also loves to volunteer at his local USAT club and at club events, such as practice Tris!

As a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador, he is passionate about volunteerism, giving back, and supporting athletes through community involvement and fundraising. Inspired by Foundation volunteers at Nationals, he's excited to help grow and strengthen the sport and its athletes.

You can find him racing an Olympic-distance triathlon in Hyannis, Massachusetts, a Sprint in Wellfleet, several local Cape Cod races throughout the summer, and USA Triathlon Nationals in Milwaukee this August!💪
