Athletes will get the chance to take on the fan-favorite “Tilt-A-Kilt” rig through the merciless hills and summer heat at the War-X venue on June 27-28, 2026.

The USAOCR Annual General Meeting (AGM) is open to current and future members and serves as an important opportunity to stay informed on the organization’s progress and direction!

During the meeting, the Board of Directors will share updates on the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan and Goals, highlight key milestones achieved, and provide the latest developments regarding the Para-Adaptive athlete program.

Attendees will also receive a summary of the 2025 financials and an overview of the USAOCR organization, ensuring transparency and alignment as the community looks ahead to the future.

War-X Trilogy is hosting the 2026 USAOCR National Championships!

🗓️ 12K Event: Sat, Jun 27, 2026
🗓️ 3K Event: Sun, Jun 28, 2026
📍 Location: 2054 Orpheus Rd, Centerville, OH 45685

The 12K OCR Competitive and 3K OCR Competitive Individual heats will be qualifiers for the 2027 USAOCR National Team.

The competitive heats will include Elite, Age Group, and Para-Adaptive. Athletes who earn 1st Place in each respective competitive category and event will receive an Auto-Qualifer to the 2027 USAOCR National Team.

🌎 The competition format will use the Three-Band System featured in World Obstacle events:

Each participant starts with three bands and loses one band per obstacle failure.

🟢 Retries allowed for non-hanging obstacles: Participants are allowed to retry non-hanging obstacles (e.g. walls etc.) to avoid losing a band. However, if they ultimately cannot complete the obstacle, a band will be removed.

🚫 No Retries Allowed for Hanging obstacles: Participants are not allowed to retry hanging obstacles (e.g. overhead rigs, etc.) to avoid losing a band. If they ultimately cannot complete the obstacle the first time, a band will be removed.

Finishing Requirements: Complete the race with one of the following:

• All 3 bands intact (no penalty)
• 2 bands and 1 penalty loop
• 1 band and 2 penalty loops.

Penalty Loop: Located just before the finish line.

All Bands Lost: Participants will be marked as “Did Not Complete” (DNC) if all bands are lost.

The 2026 USAOCR National Team | Age Group - 100-Meter & 400-Meter

The Age Group 100-Meter & 400-Meter Teams are a powerhouse of athletes from the ninja community and crossover of short-distance XC athletes.

The two teams are ready to represent the US at the World Obstacle - UIPM OCR World Championships in Limerick, Ireland from Aug 6-9.

How to Lose a Band

The following will be considered a fail and will result in forfeiting a band:

1. Falling off a rig.
2. Grabbing the straps above the grip implement.
3. Using the truss or frame.

Don't be that person. 🚫

A technical official will be at every obstacle to enforce the three-band system, but as OCR athletes, we race with integrity!

The three-band system will be implemented for the competitive Elite and AG heats only. Five bands will be given to the competitive Para-Adaptive heat.

Mandatory obstacles such as walls, crawls, and balance will allow multiple attempts until you cannot complete the obstacle, which will forfeit a band.

Obstacle Preview | Heartbreak Ridge

Acquired from Indian Mud Run, Heartbreak Ridge made its War-X debut in 2025 and, like its name, broke hearts, took bands, and wore out even the most obstacle proficient athletes later in the race.

Competitive Elite, AG, and Para-Adaptive athletes will have one attempt with Heartbreak. Open Division athletes are allowed multiple attempts until you choose to give up your band!
