Back-to-school night with Gries Family Charity 🎒✏️❤️

This year, we had the privilege of helping 105 kids right here in Colorado Springs get ready for a brand-new school year with the supplies and clothes they needed to walk into school feeling confident and prepared.
And because back-to-school shopping should have a little fun mixed in, we had a surprise waiting outside, a snow cone truck! 🍧☀️
105 kids. 105 fresh starts. One incredible community. ❤️

We recently received a letter from Louise. She has long ties to our main building and the property as her Dad worked for the Walden's when she was growing up.
In her letter she remembers the dining room being filled with children sitting in rows for entertainers that would come by the orphanage. Specifically she remembers the Garden of the Gods Singers.

We hope you are enjoy hearing the Fingerprints on this property as much as we do.

All summer long, the Next Step Ministries team showed up for us, every single Monday, to watch our resident kids so our moms could gather for program night: a shared meal, real conversation, and dedicated time to learn and grow together in community.

It was a hard summer, but this crew never missed a week. Tired or not, they kept showing up, playing, laughing, and making our kids feel loved; so, our moms could have something priceless: an evening that was truly theirs.

To the Next Step Ministries team: thank you. For your hearts, your energy, and for loving our community so well. You made this summer lighter for all of us, and you will be missed around here.
