📣 A Note from the New President of Academy Little League:

⚾ Meet Your New President, Frank Ricotta
• Many of you know me from the fields as a Minors division coach, Division Commissioner, and fellow league parent. I am a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate with over 30 years in business leadership. I mention this because I know how much good governance, transparency, and a strong team matter as we continue to build on this foundation.

🙏 Honoring Our Outgoing Leaders
• Thank you, Jacob Larkee! Jacob stepped up as President during one of the most challenging moments in our league's history following financial wrongdoing. He rebuilt the Board, recovered assets, and put strict financial checks and balances in place to protect our families' contributions. Under Jacob's leadership, Academy became a premier Colorado Little League program—growing from 375 players in Spring 2025 to an expected 500 players across 50 teams for Spring 2027. He successfully re-established the girls' fastpitch softball program, bringing more families into our community.
• Thank you to our outgoing Board for giving up their weekends and evenings to rebuild this league.
• To those continuing to serve: I'm grateful to be working alongside you.

🔮 What You Can Expect Next
• Protecting what’s been rebuilt: Our strict financial controls and transparency are here to stay so your money remains safe and well used.
• A dedicated Board: Our volunteer directors manage softball, baseball, registration, coaching, safety, fields, communications, and finances. My job is to support them so every area gets full attention.
• Investing in coaches: We will keep building resources and training to help our volunteer coaches give every player a great experience.
• Keeping focus on the kids: Development, sportsmanship, and fun will be our north star, using youth sports to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities.

• Spring registration opens December 1st!
• We need you: This league runs entirely on volunteers. If you want to coach, fill an open board advisory position, or help on game days, please reach out!

And just like that, the All-Star season comes to a close for Academy Little League. ⚾️🔴🔵

Tonight, our 11U All-Star team took the field for one final battle in the State Championship game. Although we came up short, we could not be more proud of how well the boys played. They fought hard until the final out!

Hat's off to South Boulder Little League —you are a fantastic team, and we want to congratulate you on a well-deserved win. 🤝🔥

With the final out recorded tonight, we want to look back at the incredible summer we’ve had. We want to extend a massive THANK YOU to all of our amazing parents, families, sponsors, fans, coaches and volunteers. Your dedication and support across all 4 of our Academy All-Star teams this season has been unmatched. From packing the stands and cheering loud to traveling and supporting these athletes, you made this summer unforgettable.Thank you for being the heart of our community. We love our Academy family! 🏟️❤️

It all comes down to this. One final game. Winner takes all. Our boys must defeat South Boulder LL one more time to be crowned the State Champions! 🏆

🔥 OUR 11U ALL-STARS ARE STILL FIGHTING! 🔥What a thriller today! Our Academy Little League 11U team held off a fierce comeback by South Boulder LL to capture an exciting 8-6 victory, forcing a winner-take-all championship game tomorrow! ⚾️

💪Game Highlight: After South Boulder tied the game 6-6 in the 5th, our boys showed incredible grit in the top of the 6th. Gregory P. broke the tie with a clutch RBI single to score one, followed by a fielder's choice from Jacob R. to extend the lead and secure the 8-6 win! 💥

Congratulations to the team on a massive team victory today! 🏟️✨

⚾️ Our 12U All-Stars’ road to Williamsport has officially come to an end, but what an unbelievable ride it has been!!!

We could not be prouder of this incredible group of players and coaches. They left everything on the field and showed true heart, grit, and sportsmanship every single step of the way. This team achieved something truly special this year by fighting their way to the State Tournament! Making it this far is a massive accomplishment, and these players have written their names into our league's history books!

To our families, fans, and volunteers: thank you for the endless cheering and the unmatched support all summer long. You are the heartbeat of Academy Little League.

We also want to extend a congratulations to Coal Creek Little League on their victory. We wish you the best of luck as you move forward to represent Colorado in Regionals.
