Veterans Justice League had an amazing in-reach at Bent County Correctional Facility!

We were honored to bring in an incredible team, including our bare-knuckle fighter brother Darrian Lue Pierre (6-0, two-belt champion, ranked #2 in the U.S.), our Lt. Colonel brother Oscar, motivational speaker Ryan Garza, influencer Justin Kellenbenz, and our fitness guru and first responder brother Aaron Brill, founder of Lions Pride Fitness.

It was an incredible day filled with hope, inspiration, and love behind the walls. In honor of Memorial Day, we completed the MURPH Challenge alongside the men inside. It was a powerful workout followed by impactful stories of grit, resilience, determination, and overcoming adversity.

We shared our journeys, our healthy recipe for success, and the importance of staying true to the process while relentlessly chasing greatness. Our goal is always to provide tools, knowledge, and hope so others can find their path forward.

The day was capped off with an amazing lunch alongside facility staff, including our 30-year military brother and staff member, LT Archuleta, who continually shows love and support for our mission.

We are passionate about connecting the military, first responder, and greater community with the men behind the walls to bring hope, encouragement, accountability, and inspiration.

ONE TEAM. ONE FIGHT.

WE WILL NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN COMRADE.

Today our VJL family had the honor of attending the 104th Annual Disabled American Veterans State Convention. 🇺🇸

We are incredibly thankful to stand beside so many courageous veterans, families, advocates, and leaders who continue fighting to support those who served our country. The stories, sacrifices, and dedication shared today were truly inspiring and a reminder that service never stops.

Thank you to the Disabled American Veterans community for everything you do to uplift and empower veterans and their families every single day. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and continue building stronger support systems together.

VJL remains committed to serving our veteran community with compassion, purpose, and unity. ❤️🤍💙

VJL has been doing a lot these last couple months, and our VJL family continues to stay committed to service, purpose, and impact.

Most recently, we volunteered at a local church helping set up and distributing items to those in need — getting back to SERVICE, something that runs deep through all of our DNA.

We’ve also had some impactful trainings with our amazing team on Fort Carson — and there’s much more to come. Great things are ahead for our Behind the Wall training program.

We also had the honor of attending one of our VJL brother’s medical retirement ceremony, SGT Clary. Being able to stand beside our veterans and service members during important moments like these means a lot to our VJL family.

Another special moment was presenting a beautiful piece of art created by one of our inside team members to Bob McCaughlin, Director of Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center and one of our day-one supporters. His belief in our team has played a huge role in the success and growth of VJL, and we were honored to present this artwork to him.

We also had the opportunity to present a VJL coin to Phil Weiser, our State Attorney General and another strong supporter of our mission, who even took the time to make a video message we play for service members during our Behind the Wall trainings. We’re thankful for leaders like these who believe in our program and the people we serve.

We’re also excited to announce that tomorrow we open our second veteran home — expanding our ability to support more veterans and help them make strong transitions back into their communities.

We are beyond thankful for our VJL family and for everyone who continues to help make this mission possible.

Also — if anyone in our community knows a great social media or website person, we would love to connect with them. Our team is doing incredible work day in and day out, and with the right person helping showcase it, we know we can further our reach and strengthen our impact. Please spread the word and send them our way.

Behind the Wall Trainings 🇺🇸💪

Another powerful couple of days of Behind the Wall trainings. Watching servicemembers lean in, open up, and connect to a message bigger than themselves reminds us why we do this work.

These trainings bring justice-involved veterans together with our ground team to share real stories, real accountability, and real transformation. The impact in those rooms is undeniable.

Grateful for our growing team of high-caliber veterans and leaders who continue to show up and pour into others. The stories shared, the breakthroughs made, and the brotherhood built are real.

Thankful for our VJL family! From our VJL brothers at the transitional house mentoring servicemembers, to our Colonel and cop brother who led the charge in person — this is what servant leadership looks like.

We’re not just talking about impact — we’re building it.
Stronger together. Mission focused. Purpose driven.

Teamwork makes the dream work.

Update on Mrs. VJL 🇺🇸

Our Co-Founder shipped out Tuesday for U.S. Army Boot Camp at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She is now five days in, and we finally got to hear her voice — a true blessing.

We ask that our VJL tribe keep her and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We couldn’t be more proud as she continues becoming a United States Army Soldier. Seeing our Co-Founder of VJL in uniform for the very first time was a powerful moment.

To know that our organization, our work, and our testimony are becoming bulletproof means everything. We couldn’t be more proud of the team and community we have built, and we look forward to continuing to take this much-needed work deeper into the military ranks.

Keep going Mrs. VJL — we are all so proud of you…

Third Year at the Capitol — Introducing the Colorado Veterans Justice Act | No Comrade Left Behind

▪️ 3rd Year Invited to the Colorado State Capitol for Military Appreciation Day
▪️ HB 26-0719 — Colorado Veterans Justice Act Officially Introduced
▪️ Nearly 4 Years of Advocacy for Justice-Involved Veterans
▪️ Challenge Coins Presented to Key Legislative Champions
▪️ Bipartisan Support & Statewide Stakeholder Engagement
▪️ Setting a National Standard with Peer Prevention Work at Fort Carson
▪️ Powered by Lived Experience — Not Big Funding
▪️ One Mission: NO COMRADE LEFT BEHIND

For the third year in a row, VJL had the honor of being invited to the Colorado State Capitol for Military Appreciation Day. It is always a powerful opportunity to share the unique work we’ve built — bridging the gap between the military and justice systems to create better outcomes on both ends.

But this year carried even greater significance.

Today marked the official introduction of our House Bill: HB 26-0719 — The Colorado Veterans Justice Act. A monumental milestone.

For nearly four years, VJL has been on the frontlines advocating for justice-involved veterans. No major funding. No large institutional backing. Just relentless networking, lived experience, passion, and an unshakable commitment to building a better path forward for those who served. We know the gaps because we’ve lived them — and we are taking powerful action to ensure NO COMRADE IS LEFT BEHIND.

It was an incredible day connecting with our veteran community, stakeholders, and legislators — making it clear that our population will not be overlooked any longer because of the dedicated work of this team.

We were also proud to present a VJL Challenge Coin to our primary bill sponsor, Sen. Hinrichsen — a U.S. combat veteran whose leadership and belief in this mission means the world to us. We’re grateful for his support and excited to work alongside him, his team, our partners, and stakeholders to get this across the finish line for Colorado’s veterans who have fallen through the cracks for far too long.

Additionally, we had the privilege of spending time with our friend and steadfast ally, Senate President Coleman. From day one, he has been a strong advocate for our organization. We were honored to present him with a Challenge Coin and share the impactful work of our VJL teammates. He graciously signed Certificates of Achievement and helped recognize the incredible individuals who make this mission move forward. TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK. Thank you, Mr. President.

We also connected with numerous Representatives and Senators across the aisle. One thing was clear — regardless of politics, there is a shared willingness to support our veteran population. Leaders recognized both the need and the innovative work happening right here in Colorado, including the peer-led prevention efforts we’ve launched at Fort Carson — setting a national standard for what real support inside active duty ranks can look like.

VJL couldn’t be prouder to be leading this movement.

And we’re just getting started!

We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue building alongside our incredible team and the community!

💪🔥 IRON SHARPENS IRON 🔥💪

Our VJL team was honored to be invited to compete in the 1000lb Club (squat, bench, deadlift) alongside 60–80 soldiers from 64th BSB at Fort Carson 🇺🇸

We took 2nd place with a total of 1,360 lbs, but the real win was the community, camaraderie, and connection. This is exactly why fitness is foundational to what we do — it builds discipline, confidence, resilience, and brotherhood/sisterhood. These are the same principles ingrained in us through military service and carried into every space we serve, on base and behind the wall.

If you’re a veteran, active-duty, or fitness partner who wants to come on base or behind the wall, this is just the beginning. We’re working to run this event quarterly — inside and outside — bringing people together through strength, purpose, and shared grind.

This is more than lifting weight —
It’s lifting each other.
It’s reclaiming identity.
It’s showing up strong in body, mind, and spirit.

COME GET SOME WITH TEAM VJL.

Help us welcome Morse, our newest Vet House member! 🇺🇸
Morse is a 6-year U.S. Army Veteran who served with distinction at Fort Hood, Germany, Korea(x2), and Fort Carson as an 11B Infantryman. We’re honored to have him and excited for the positive impact he’ll continue to make within the Veterans Justice League.

Late post, but full hearts. 🇺🇸🎄

Our VJL family had an incredible holiday break—sharing time with our veteran brothers at the VJL home and celebrating with an amazing Christmas get-together. We then wrapped it up with our annual Toy Ruck to the children’s hospital in Colorado Springs alongside our Team Red, White & Blue family—always a powerful event, rucking presents to kids for Christmas and spreading some much-needed joy.

We hope everyone enjoyed time with loved ones and had a happy, safe holiday season.

Now—on to 2026. This year marks a huge milestone for VJL as we continue to intertwine more deeply with the military ranks. Our co-founder and Mrs. VJL will be shipping to boot camp on February 3rd, headed to Fort Jackson to become a 25B. We couldn’t be more proud—this brings the founding story of VJL full circle, and it’s going to be a truly special year.

Good luck, Specialist Menendez—we’re all behind you. 💪🇺🇸 Go follow our founders journey Menendez Journey
