David Thomas is an active duty soldier with four combat tours to the middle east (Iraq and Afghanistan) and he has been diagnosed with Stage IV metatisized lung cancer. The probable cause of his lung cancer is the exposure to chemicals and toxins, as well as the burn pits, he was exposed to while serving overseas. This is also the primary cause of Iraq Afghanistan War Lung. Studies state that 1 in

7 veterans who served in the middle east will be contract IAWL. David's last "mission" is to bring awareness to IAWL and he has created a foundation called the "David Thomas IAWL Foundation." This foundation will focus on increasing public awareness to IAWL and providing funding to veterans who cannot afford diagnostic testing for IAWL.
