We are doing something very difficult, unpopular because we tackle taboo subjects that can make people uncomfortable. We don't just want donations. Do you know what group of people has more abortions than any other group? Nearly a decade ago, two major studies found it is Christians who make up more than half of all abortions in the United States. Because s*x outside marriage is condemned in the Bible, there is an unspoken message that u***d pregnancy should never be seen in the church. We want to "save the cute little babies" but we condemn the mom as though her pregnancy is a sin. So she goes to the world for help and often feels abortion is her only choice. And then we condemn her for that. And the pattern continues decade after decade, church after church, woman after woman living with secret shame, baby after baby lost. But when God sent His own son to save the world, He sent Jesus into the womb of an u***d teenager who was now guilty, according to the religious people, of a crime worthy of being stoned to death. No coincidence here! As a man, Jesus, while never condoning the sin, protected and met the immediate needs of the woman caught in adultery before He addressed her sin without shaming her.
