Mark your calendars and grab your instruments!⚡The Black Rose Acoustic Society is bringing a full lineup of acoustic jams, Friday night concerts, Open Mics, and the monthly songwriting circle to the Pikes Peak region this August.
Whether you want to perform under the pines at the 100-year-old log hall in Black Forest before our Friday Concerts or jam with fellow local musicians, TBRAS has something for every acoustic music lover.

✨ August Highlights✨
🎶Acoustic Bluegrass Jams: Kick off the month by trading chords and singing rare favorites in a welcoming acoustic circle.
🎻Friday Night Concert Series: Catch intimate live performances from talented folk, bluegrass, and roots artists with our Upcoming Concerts featuring Eli Cook on August 28 (note there is no concert on August 14). Join us for a pre-show jam (weather permitting).
🎸Open Mic: Grab your guitar and a couple of songs and join us at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort the 2nd & 4th Wed. of each month 6-8 pm for our Open Mic, hosted by Doug Conlon!
📝Songwriting Circle: Bring your stringed instrument and a notebook to the monthly gathering at All Souls Unitarian Church downtown to conquer writer’s block.

Friday may be a hot one, but it's nice and cool inside the Black Forest Community Center thanks to our new AC. ❄️Our Friday concert is the coolest one yet! 🩵Brad Colerick's songs seep into your heart with a single listen, and his red-hot band will put some fire in your tank. Billboard Magazine called Colerick "one of a baker's dozen of acts to watch in the folk community around the world.” The Associated Press said, "Colerick's stories are worth hearing... His warm, sunny, homey tenor brings alive the characters, places, and relationships in these 11 songs."
