At Homeward Pikes Peak -A Journey Home- is about more than one evening of generosity. It's about the partnerships that turn a vision of housing, recovery, and stability into something real.

As the construction partner behind The Commons, Bryan Construction helped bring to life a 58,876-square-foot supportive housing community featuring 50 apartments, along with spaces for behavioral health services, community connection, and essential resources.

These aren't just buildings. They're places where individuals, veterans, and families experiencing homelessness can find safety, rebuild their lives, and begin writing a new chapter.

Our Street Outreach team needs a little help from our community. 💚

Right now, we especially need:
• Bottled water
• Individually packaged snacks
• Warm socks
• Gloves and hats
• Hand warmers
• Hygiene supplies
• Cold-weather essentials

Our Street Outreach team meets people where they are, builds relationships, connects individuals to resources and treatment, and helps create pathways from homelessness into housing.

A bottle of water, a snack, or a pair of warm socks can be the first step in starting a conversation, building trust, and connecting with someone experiencing homelessness.

💚 Some moments are bigger than a milestone.

Our Bloom House team had the privilege of sitting in a courtroom and watching one of our moms, Kaitlyn, graduate from Family Treatment Drug Court.

But what we were really watching was the result of all the days that came before it.

The hard days. The showing up. The choosing to keep going. The work of recovery, rebuilding trust, and creating stability for herself and her family.

Kaitlyn’s partner, parent advocate, Magistrate Lara Nafziger, and members of our Bloom House team were there to surround her with support and remind her just how many people are cheering for her.

And now, another huge chapter is about to close — Kaitlyn’s case with DHS is expected to be officially closed soon.

There are moments in this work when you get to see what all of the small steps have been building toward.

Thursday was one of those moments.

Kaitlyn, we hope you know how proud we are of you. Not just for graduating, but for every choice, every hard day, and every step that brought you here.

What an honor it is to walk alongside you. 💚

✨ PARTNER HIGHLIGHT: SORREN ✨

Giving back is part of their story. 💚

This week, we’re celebrating Sorren and thanking them for partnering with Homeward Pikes Peak for A Journey Home!

Their Colorado Springs team has a history of showing up for our community. As SKR+CO, now Sorren, they volunteered with Care and Share Food Bank and shared their involvement in events and board service supporting organizations including Cheyenne Village, Silver Key, Westside CARES, and the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum.

The photos here offer a glimpse of that commitment in action and teammates coming together to support hunger relief in Southern Colorado.

We’re grateful they’re also showing up for Homeward Pikes Peak. Their partnership helps support pathways to housing, recovery, and greater stability for our neighbors.

A key isn’t just a key. 🔑

For one Homeward Pikes Peak resident, whom we’ll call KC to protect her privacy, this key represents something she has been working toward for years: a home and the possibility of having her children with her again.

KC has experienced homelessness for many years and, during that time, was separated from her children. Despite the barriers that came with not having stable housing, her case manager shared something that speaks volumes about her determination:

She made every visit with her children.

Now, KC has a place to call home.

Housing doesn’t solve every challenge overnight. But researchers found that families involved with child welfare who received supportive housing had nearly twice the odds of reunification compared with families who did not receive supportive housing.

KC is beginning to create the life she wants for herself and her family. Her hope is that one day, this won’t just be the door to her home.

It will be the door her children come home through, too. 💚
