Meet Stephanie Hoff, CPA, Director of Client & Business Solutions!

For Stephanie, generosity has always been about more than dollars and cents.

During her time at WaterStone, she has seen generosity transform people.

“I’ve watched generosity heal broken family relationships, bring people to faith, and create impact far beyond what anyone expected. This work has shown me that generosity is about so much more than dollars.”

A book that has recently shaped Stephanie’s perspective is How to Know a Person by David Brooks.

“The idea that truly seeing someone is one of the most generous things you can offer them feels very aligned with the work we do.”

Causes that support women finding stability and hope are especially close to Stephanie’s heart. She is passionate about organizations like Mary’s Home and Sow Hope that provide practical support and lasting transformation for women in need.

One of the things she values most about WaterStone is the culture.

“Chili contests, fantasy football, ugly sweater competitions… we show up for the work and for each other.”

Outside the office, Stephanie enjoys jigsaw puzzles and has seen more than 20 tornadoes alongside her storm-chasing husband. But the thing that brightens her day most is her daughter, Juniper.

“She’s almost two, obsessed with bubbles, blueberries, and the color purple. Her laugh fixes everything.”

We’re grateful for Stephanie’s heart for people, her dedication to serving donors, and the care she brings to WaterStone every day.

Today, we are honored to once again sponsor the National Day of Prayer. It is the only national day of prayer established by law in the United States, a meaningful reminder of the freedom we have to gather openly in worship, repentance, gratitude, and prayer.

In a time when our nation and communities face deep challenges, we are grateful for the opportunity to pause and seek the Lord together.

Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET, believers from across America and around the world will join in a 90-minute live-streamed prayer gathering featuring worship and prayers from Christian leaders representing every sphere of influence.

We invite you to join us as we pray for our neighbors, our nation, and the generations to come.

For centuries, Europe helped shape the spread of Christianity around the world. Today, it presents a very different picture.
In many places, faith has shifted from something lived to something inherited. Cultural markers remain, but belief has quietly moved to the margins. As former Prime Minister of the UK, Liz Truss, notes, when that foundation is removed, it does not leave neutrality. It leaves a vacuum.

And yet, that is not the whole story. Through conversations with leaders like Adam Walach, founder of the European Great Commission Collaboration (EGCC), we are seeing a different kind of movement emerge. One that is quieter, but real. Young people engaging with faith, local leaders stepping forward, and generosity being mobilized within Europe itself.
Some are beginning to describe this moment not as post-Christian, but pre-revival.

In our latest magazine, we explore both the challenge and the opportunity unfolding across Europe.

Through WaterStone, many donors choose to support the work of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), helping defend both free speech and the right of Christians to live and serve according to their convictions.

In March 2026, ADF secured a significant victory before the U.S. Supreme Court in Chiles v. Salazar, protecting the right of Christian counselors to serve clients according to their faith and conscience.

At the center of the case was Colorado’s Minor Conversion Therapy Law, which created a one-sided restriction in the counseling room—permitting one viewpoint while silencing another. Counselors like Kaley Chiles faced legal consequences simply for helping clients pursue counseling aligned with their faith and their biological s*x.

As ADF Senior Counsel Jake Warner said, “This case is critical. For about 15 years states have used similar laws to silence and censor counselors.”

This decision is about more than one case. It is about whether faith-informed truth can still be spoken freely, and whether Christian conviction still has a place in every room.

Did you know that with WaterStone’s support, C.S. Lewis’ historic Oxford residence was restored?

What was once simply a home is now a place of faith, inspiration, and literary history. Continuing to influence lives for generations to come.

Every Wednesday, generosity moves.

We are always grateful to witness this outpouring of faithfulness as grants are sent to ministries and organizations around the world. Before they go out, they are prayed over. A small but meaningful reminder that every dollar represents hearts committed to Kingdom work.

Thank you for your generosity.

You may not know that WaterStone’s office is nestled at the edge of the mountains in Colorado Springs. This week, we’re pausing in gratitude for this incredible space — set in one of the most beautiful places God has created.
Lord, we pray for Colorado Springs. Grant wisdom to its leaders and place Your guiding hand upon them. May those who live and work here see You at work in their lives this week. Thank You for placing us here.
