Transforming the lives of orphans, the blind, and those suffering from the effects of poverty in Ethiopia through sponsorship, education, job skills training, and holistic life skill development. Fields of Promise currently funds 3 ongoing projects in the Tigray region of Ethiopia: A community based child-care project in Adigrat, a Visually Impaired Sponsorship and Support Project in Mekelle and A

dwa, and support of children living in a care home or living with relatives in Mekelle. We also engage in capacity building activities with existing NGO staff in Ethiopia to encourage, equip and train in areas of social work, program development and outcome measurement.

Last full day in Adigrat rewarding top performers in school (20 of the kids ranked in top ten of their class), visiting mamas in homes, doing crafts, then sharing heart to heart with the girls before sharing undergarments with them we brought from US. Thanks for enabling us to be a blessing!

Back to Adigrat early this morning to enjoy time with our sponsored kiddos. Today's delights included a tie-dye tutorial, sorting donated supplies for inventory, selecting women for the new Income Generating Project, giving a donated Chromebook to a female university student studying medicine from Adwa, and watching the girls enjoying the project beauty salon they've created as they care for one another.

So privileged to be asked along with ORE leadership and visitors from US, Brazil, India, Switzerland and Holland to visit the Regional Presidential offices and hear a presentation from them on the impact of the Tigray war and be asked to share our ideas for rebuilding and restoration with the Vice President of Tigray. With God's help, and the collaboration between the government and ORE along with your donations and support, we can make a difference in those impacted by the war.
