Tomorrow on Trail Talk:

The Power of Camp: Why Staff Matter Most

My guest is Gregg Hunter, President and CEO of the Christian Camp and Conference Association and Conference Association.

This special companion episode continues this season's conversation about the Outdoor Method in Scouting, but narrows the focus to summer camp itself — and especially to the people who make camp matter.

Because camp is not powerful simply because of the facilities, the activities, or the scenery.

Camp becomes powerful when caring leaders create a place where young people can disconnect, belong, take safe risks, ask deeper questions, and discover that they can do hard things.

One of the biggest ideas from the conversation is simple:

Great facilities may attract campers. Great staff bring them back.

Episode drops tomorrow.
