Why do you love Cheyenne Cañon?

Maybe it's the first time you hiked Columbine Trail, a favorite family picnic, finding peace beside the creek after a long week, or introducing a grandchild to the outdoors.

As Friends of Cheyenne Cañon prepares for our first Pikes Peak Region Give Campaign , we'd love to hear your story.

In the comments, tell us:
Why do you love Cheyenne Cañon?

A sentence or two is perfect—or share a favorite photo or short video!

With your permission, we will feature some of your stories in our campaign this fall to help inspire others to support this incredible place.

Your story could help protect the trails, forests, wildlife, and natural beauty that make North Cheyenne Cañon Park so special. ❤️

Yesterday, our volunteers spent the morning on the Columbine Trail, doing the hard work that keeps one of Cheyenne Cañon's most beloved trails safe and enjoyable for everyone. 🦋

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy, and sweat to care for the canyon.

Today is the day!

The park is open on the 4th until 2pm or until it reaches vehicle capacity, whichever comes first. After that, it’ll be closed for the rest of the day.

Gold Camp will stay closed to vehicles all day, as it has in the past.

Wishing you a happy and safe Fourth of July, America 250th, and Colorado 150th! 🇺🇲

We have so many good neighbors in the canyon, and your small actions make a big difference!

Most of us want to be good neighbors. We care about the people around us. We mean to do more. Starting is usually the hard part.

This Tuesday, June 23, is TogetherTuesday, a national day of community action. Local nonprofits across the Pikes Peak Region have shared 30+ simple, concrete ways to show up for the people near you. Browse them, pick one that fits your day, and do it Tuesday.

One person, one action, one day, multiplied across the whole region.
