Reflections is a National PTA cultural arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas; develop artistic literacy; increase confidence and creativity; develop critical thinking and problem solving skills; and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life.

Students in pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a theme. They submit their completed works of art in one, or all, of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.

While the primary focus of Reflections is a celebration of creativity and the arts, student artists receive positive recognition at their schools, and finalists move on to their council/region for review and recognition. Finalists then advance to Colorado State PTA, where Gold Award winners then advance to the National PTA round for judging. 

Our PTA unit is gearing up to implement the Reflections program at Evans Elementary! All Evans students are encouraged to enter.

The Evans Elementary PTA was honored to provide popsicles for Gold Reward students who earned this special recognition during the 4th quarter of last school year! 🎉

We had so much fun at our General PTA Meeting last night that we decided to make our Kiwi Kit drawing even more exciting! Instead of drawing for just one Kiwi Kit, we randomly drew six winners during our General PTA Meeting last night! 🎉 🥳

PTA membership is renewed annually, and we would be excited to have you join us again during our membership drive!

Your membership helps us support our students, staff, and school community throughout the year. Whether you're a returning member or joining for the first time, every membership makes a difference.

Joining our PTA (Parent Teacher Association) connects you directly to your child's school, giving you a powerful voice in their education and helping to fund essential programs. It is one of the most effective ways to advocate for students, build relationships with educators, and improve the school community.

Key Benefits of Joining the PTA

Gain a Voice: Influence school policies, curriculum support (like STEM or arts), and resource allocation.

Support All Children: Advocate for equitable resources, better class sizes, and student safety.

Build Relationships: Bridge the gap between home and school by collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators.

Individual membership is $10, 2 person family membership is $16 and a staff membership is $8.

Each family or staff member that joins will be entered in a drawing to win a Kiwi kit (unless you have already won a Kiwi kit) as well as anyone who attends the PTA meeting with the drawing for this membership drive being held at our first PTA meeting of the year August 20th at 4 PM. You do not need to be a PTA member to enter to win. Just attend the PTA meeting on August 20, 2026.

📸 A Look Back at Day 2! 👓💛
Day 2 of volunteering with Eye Love Care and Evans Elementary School was another wonderful day! Thank you to PTA member and School District 49 nurse Tamie Robb for arranging I Love Care to come to Evans to take Care of our student’s and to Health Assistant Debbie Gillision for her hard work in processing students.
Our volunteers helped support their full-service optometry clinic as students received comprehensive eye exams and, when needed, eyewear.
We loved being part of an effort that helps make sure every child has the vision care they need to learn, grow, and succeed. 💙💛

🐾💛 Day 2 with Eye Love Care! 👓
The Wildcat PTA was thrilled to spend another day volunteering alongside the amazing team at Eye Love Care as they brought their full-service optometry clinic to Evans Elementary!
From comprehensive eye exams to providing eyewear when needed, Eye Love Care is helping make sure our students have the vision care they need to learn, grow, and succeed. 💙
We are so grateful for the opportunity to volunteer, support our Wildcats, and be part of an organization making such a meaningful difference in the lives of children.

👓 Caring for Our Wildcats, One Vision at a Time! 🐾

We were excited to have volunteers from Evans Elementary PTA participate today as Eye Love Care brought their full-service optometry clinic to Evans Elementary School! They provided comprehensive eye exams and eyewear, when needed, to students right here at school. Our PTA members escorted students to their exams after parents signed them up to take exams.

Their mission is simple: to ensure every child receives the vision care they need to succeed.
