🍃✨ **MEET OUR AUGUST HERizon SPEAKER!** ✨🍃

Okay, HERizon ladies… this month we’re doing something a little different, and I am SO excited about it.

Our August speaker is **Rachel Lentz** — Air Force veteran, clinical psychologist, published haiku poet, artist, entrepreneur, and founder of **Second Spring Creations**.

And she’s coming to talk to us about:

✨ **HAIKU — More Than Just “5-7-5”** ✨

Because apparently everything we learned about haiku in elementary school was only the beginning. 😂

Rachel discovered haiku in 2021 while looking for inspiration for a painting, and it opened up an entirely new creative journey. Since then, her work has been published in American and British haiku journals, and she now teaches haiku workshops right here in Colorado Springs.

But this conversation is about more than writing poetry.

It’s about SLOWING DOWN.

Noticing what’s actually happening around you.

Getting out of the constant multitasking, planning, producing, DOING mode so many of us business owners live in… and making space for creativity, mindfulness and connection.

And I have a feeling a whole bunch of us need a little of that. 🙋‍♀️😂

Rachel will also be leading our **Growth Lab**, where we’ll get to dig in even deeper and explore how a simple haiku practice can help us reduce stress, tap into creativity, notice more beauty and create a little space to reconnect with ourselves.

Meet **Kam Fletcher**, the woman behind **The Haphazard Sourdough Baker** 🍞💛

Kam isn't just teaching people how to bake bread, she's helping them discover that perfection isn't the goal.

Ten years ago, Kam learned sourdough from her son, a professional baker and chef who trained at Ken Forkish's award-winning bakery. While many encouraged her to sell her bread, Kam knew her true passion was teaching.

When COVID changed everything, she pivoted and found a way to bring people together through something simple, comforting, and delicious. Today, she teaches people of all ages how to make sourdough fit into real life - without the stress, rigid schedules, or intimidation.

From birthday parties and bachelorette celebrations to date nights, team-building events, children's classes, and family gatherings, Kam brings the experience right into your home. She also provides ongoing support so every student feels confident long after class ends.

She's called **The Haphazard Sourdough Baker** for a reason. Through countless mistakes, she's learned that simple recipes still create something beautiful - and she encourages others to embrace that same grace in the kitchen and in life.
