I wanted to remind you of this amazing event happening next week.

Here are the details....
TEC5 CLIFFORD H STRICKLAND - Service Member Profile (crmforce.mil)

-Technician 5 Clifford Strickland was captured during the fall of Bataan and forced to march in the Bataan Death March. At the completion of the March, he was interned in the Cabanatuan Prison with 8000 other Americans and was one of the 2800 that died of subsequent diseases in prison and was thrown into a mass grave.
-His remains were recently identified by the DPAA, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, and the family has coordinated the celebration and re-patriation of his remains.

- TEC5 Strickland is from Fremont County and his remains will be buried at 2pm at the Union Highlands Cemetery in Florence on the 29th. Riders/Warriors will be assisting in parking in the NW Corner of the cemetery, space is limited, carpooling is highly encouraged. Construction on 115 and 50 is congested and time consuming. Either go west on 50 and south on 67 by the airport or turn south on 120 before getting to 115 if coming from the East.

- His remains with fly direct from Hawaii to Denver on either the 26th or 27th and land at 11:58am. Warriors/Riders will meet in COS and proceed North to DIA where they will be allowed on tarmac to es**rt the remains. I am asking that every available person to line up on overpasses down I-25. The State Patrol will es**rt the VFW Warriors and TAL Riders (motorcycles) from DIA to Pueblo. The timeline is approximate but the es**rt should hit 25 and 225 at 1:15pm. The es**rt will be traveling about 45mph south from there. This means Monument about 1:45 and later further South.

-I would love to see waving flags on every overpass through town. If you or some of your post members can support, please let me know which overpass you will man and who the POC is. I will send them the updated information as it comes available.
