For the second year in a row, Ascend College Prep has been awarded the John Irwin award for Academic Excellence!! To earn this distinction, a school must earn a rating of "Exceeds Expectations" on the Academic Achievement indicator of the School Performance Frameworks reflecting exceptional performance in Math, English Language Arts, and Science.

I am so proud of our outstanding faculty and students at Ascend!

I am thrilled to announce that our Aviation Pathway is growing next year! We have been awarded a CDOT "Aviation Education" Grant to fund a new, FAA Part 107 Drone Licensure program. Ideally students will take the new drone course before taking our Private Pilot ground school course, but that is not a requirement. We are also hoping to add an after school drone soccer club!

I am very proud to announce that Ascend has been recognized with three Awards of Distinction from the Colorado Department of Education. Only two high schools in the state received all three of these distinctions!

Ascend was awarded the:
2024 Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award
2024 High School Growth Award
2024 John Irwin Award

While awards like this are certainly wonderful, they are never our aim. That being said, it does feel great to be recognized!

Our social media has been sorely neglected this year! I am happy to report that next school year the Ascend Facebook and Instagram accounts will be managed and updated by our Marketing class. Look for more frequent updates starting in late August 2025.

We have a total of six spots remaining to reach our maximum enrollment of 110 students for the 2024-2025 school year! We have 2 spots open for 10th graders, 2 spots open for juniors, and 2 spots open for seniors. It’s March and that means graduation prep - One down and 54 more to go!
