Huey is a 13 year old kitty who somehow managed to lacerate his tongue and then developed an infection. Huey was treated and is feeling much better now. He is seen in the photo with his person, Jeannette.

UPDATE: Thanks to a grant received this weekend from the Candis J. Stern Foundation, all HH services are now back up and available. However, because we are still fighting for those lost funds, the number of awards approved and the size of the awards may be fewer and smaller than in the past. Meet Biggie Smalls, a 7 year old Yorkie-Poo/Sheepdog mix(!) that developed a mass near his re**um. His veterinarian was keeping a eye on it, but the mass ruptured requiring it be removed right away. Harley's Hope pitched in along with other charities to make sure Biggie got the help he needed, when he needed it.

UPDATE: We have reopened the emergency pet food program for the Pikes Peak Region as well as emergency foster care for pets whose people are hospitalized. We anticipate reopening the pet cancer fund as soon as year 2 funding is received later this month.

If you are in need of the services listed above, please email [email protected] to request an application be sent to you. Our online application is all-in-one, and not all services are available at this time.

Unfortunately, the bank continues to refuse to return the money and we are in a holding pattern until we get bank documents showing the receiving bank and other info we'll need to add to FBI and local law enforcement reports.

Because of this, our general veterinary program is still on hold until more funding is received. We are asking those we've helped over the last 16 years, and the public at large, to please donate so we may open up all services as quickly as possible. Thank you.

Megra is a 10 year old Calico recently seen and treated at Bijou Animal Hospital for GI tract issues. She underwent an exam and x-rays, and was sent home with prescription pet food to see if that would help.

Harvey Quinn and his roommates are just a few of the animals fed through our Emergency Pet Food Service. Harvey's person, Kimberly, just needed a bit of help feeding her crew this month. Thanks to a recent grant from Bacchus-Schanker Cares Foundation, Harley's Hope was able to provide that help.

Sneakers, who is 12 years old, recently underwent an a**l sac resection Animal Hospital in an effort to prevent recurring inflammation. Sneakers has been dealing with this issue for a few years now and has been treated both medically and surgically in the past, but the condition came back. Her veterinarian advised Sneaker's person, Patricia, to pursue the resection to, hopefully, take care of the issue once and for all.

Sadly, we have to temporarily halt services due to someone(s) hacking into our QuickBooks account and stealing close to $30,000 in funding by scheduling payments to themselves.

Despite immediately filing fraud claims with our bank, they have denied our claims twice now and removed the money from our account. So, until we are able to resolve this gut-wrenching issue, we have to take a step back for the first time in over 16 years.

It's such a sad state of affairs that people think nothing of stealing from a small charity that is literally saving precious lives.
