This is Sergeant Matthew Leinginger.

He was an MP in the US Army. He served two tours in Iraq. He was my brother.

Matt took his life in June 2010 due to severe PTSD. He came home from the war but could not fight the battle in his mind. He left behind two beautiful children and many who loved and cherished him.

Your support in this cause will benefit organizations that fight back against PTSD and Su***de amongst veterans and First Responders. They provide services and supports to aide these individuals so they don’t feel isolated and alone.

Please consider buying a ticket or submitting a donation. 100% of proceeds go to four organizations to provide this support to heroes like Matt who desperately need it.

9 more days to get your tickets! Each ticket donation goes to four local organizations the aide veterans and first responders fighting ptsd and su***de.

I’m so excited for this walk and it will be amazing to see all the support. Thank you everyone! God Bless!

Do you have a story you’d like to share?

A story of a loved one or yourself that has overcome or fallen victim to PTSD or su***de?

The best way to bring awareness is to share experiences. Although it may be tough to tell, it helps overs to see your strengths and shines more light onto this atrocity.

Feel free to send a message and I can post anonymously. 🙂

Hello Facebook family! 😀
We would like to introduce you to Shannon Pattillo.

She is a veteran, mother, wife, cancer survivor, realtor, but most importantly on Dec. 2021 in a little office, she and a team created Step Into Awareness. Rucksack 22-A Step into Awareness.
A rucksack walk with other veterans, first responders, and local community members. 🇺🇸

With the goal to raise awareness on PTSD and to help people fighting this invisible enemy.

On average, 22 veterans commit su***de a day.
Too many brothers and sisters lost......

Please join us for a Rucksack walk! 🧳
We are walking from Rosie's Diner to Switchback's stadium to raise awareness and funds for beneficiaries that do amazing work in the US to fight against PTSD and provide wellness/medical services to those in need.

Thank you for joining this page! Your support for our veterans and first responders doesn’t go unnoticed! We are on a mission to spread more awareness in the battle against PTSD and su***de amongst vets and first responders.

November 11-13th 2022, I’m committing to a 22 mile march from Monument CO to Downtown Colorado Springs. This event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased in the link below. Proceeds will go to four different charities that provide services and supports to our nations bravest and finest.

You do not have to walk the full 22, you can walk 500ft, 4 miles, or the full route. This is going to be an amazing event! I welcome you all to join me in this cause!

On the 3rd day of this event, we will end the last 4 miles of the march at Switchback stadium with vendors, community supporters, and live entertainment!
*VIP seating is available but limited*

So come out and join the fun for a great cause! See you all there!
