Heads Up CSPD has started enforcing trespassing laws at the informal rail crossing linking Ute Valley Park to the Pikes Peak Greenway 🛤
To be clear: it's not a designated crossing 🚫 and using it is genuinely dangerous but without it, riders are being pushed onto Rockrimmon Blvd with no sidewalk, no protected space
🗺📄A connection here was already identified as a priority in the 2014 Parks Master Plan, 12 years later, it's still not built and the 2026 draft is coming later this year

Bear Creek trail closure July 6-17 will make the challenging 8th street corridor difficult to navigate during the middle of July due to storm water infrastructure installation

Proposed 8th street detour is challenging due to apartment construction closing narrow 8th street sidewalk at old hobby lobby

Checking with City of Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA on planned sidewalk access and Walmart trail access during July 6-17 closure
