I-25 construction over Sinton trail is now complete 🥳
New pavement, open underpass and an improved connection through NW COS
Huge thanks to Steph Vigil for her work advocating alongside us with CDOT to keep this critical connection open during for the majority of this years long project

You may have seen that a section of the Shooks run Trail is getting repaved starting tomorrow - but we didn’t know we were getting a improved crossing with pedestrian refuge Island at Fontanero well 🙌

Last Chance to Weigh In! The survey for the 2026 Park System Master Plan closes TODAY, Sept 22nd.

Trails aren't just for recreation, they're how residents get to work, school, and daily destinations. Bike COS is calling for:
• Trails funded as active transportation
• A bypass for the USAFA closure along Eastern I-25
• Safe trail crossings and multi-modal park/trailhead access

While this masterplan sets high-level goals, the specific design, maintenance, and e-bike policies will be locked in during the upcoming Trail System Master Plan. We’re asking the City for a formal seat at the table to represent local riders throughout that process.

31st Street is getting some major infrastructure updates starting this fall
As a key route for Westsiders and those accessing Friends of Garden of the Gods, active transportation options must stay front and center throughout construction.
