Alternative Breaks, The University of Kansas Alternative Breaks provides immersive volunteer experiences that educate students and foster a lifelong commitment to service.

Alternative Breaks is a completely student-run organization that sends KU students across the nation to volunteer over Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall and Weekend Breaks. We are dedicated to providing immersive and educational volunteer opportunities which address pressing issues and facilitate change in personal perspectives through education, direct service, and reflection. We are one of the larges

t service learning initiatives at KU and provide volunteer opportunities for more than 500 students each year.
