We would like to announce Grant Fender as the 2025 recipient of the Stanley Talbot Memorial Endowment. Grant is the son of Ofallon, Illinois, Police Officer George Fender and his mother Amanda Fender. Grant graduated this spring from Triad High School in Troy, Illinois.

This fall Grant starts his journey at Saint Louis University. Grant plans on continuing his education with an ultimate goal of graduating from seminary and entering the priesthood in the Catholic Church. Congratulations Grant!

Do you know a graduating senior who is the child of a law enforcement officer? Could they use a little help with college expenses? The Stanley Talbot Memorial Endowment is accepting applications for the graduating class of 2025. All perspective recipients should submit a letter explaining a little about themselves and their goals in life. Application letters can be submitted to [email protected] by 7/4/2025!

Great news! The Master Sergeant Stanley Talbot Memorial Endowment is seeking applications, for an endowment check, from a member of the high school graduating class of 2024.

The Goal of the Stanley Talbot Memorial Endowment is to both Remember Stan, and to acknowledge the sacrifices endured by the children of Peace Officers. They often endure situations without knowing anything other than the life of a “cop’s kid” and it can take a toll. In these times of rushing to judgment and anonymous internet experts the children of Peace Officers often shoulder a burden many cannot understand. We had the pleasure of awarding some fine young people with endowment checks on Monday. Thank you to the East Moline Police Department for allowing us the opportunity to present them at their annual golf tournament.
