Sebastian Riding Associates A therapeutic riding facility for persons of all ages with varying disabilities and challenges. We use quiet and trained horses to meet our riders' needs.

Sebastian's therapeutic program includes children and adults with a wide range of physical, mental and emotional disabilities. The focus of our program is a safe, fun and healthy approach to growth and rehabilitation through equine activities and riding. Offering much more than the traditional riding program, we strive to achieve physical development, socialization and learning through fun activities. We build balance and symmetry, increase reach and range of motion, develop speech and language, thought processes, planning and sequencing. At Sebastian, we instill a great sense of success, confidence and accomplishment in our riders. Not only do Sebastian students learn to ride, they groom, tack and care for their horses. We use special equipment, and provide ASTM-SEI approved helmets with our riders' safety paramount in all of our activities. Sebastian offers individual lessons so we can best meet the individual needs of our riders. Sebastian is open seven days a week, with the majority of lessons in the evenings and weekends when we have the most volunteer power. We have 100+ riders, 15 horses, a team of part-time instructors, physical and occupational therapists, and volunteers, managed by a program staff and a Board of Directors.

💙 Thank You, Phoenixville Community Health Foundation! 🐴

Sebastian Riding Associates is incredibly grateful to the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation for their generous $5,000 grant in support of our programs!

This funding helps us continue providing meaningful, accessible equine-assisted services to children and adults with disabilities in our community. Every grant helps us care for our incredible equine partners, support our dedicated team, and continue creating opportunities for our riders to build strength, confidence, independence, and connection.

We are so fortunate to be part of a community where organizations invest in one another and recognize the importance of making services accessible to those who need them.

✨ A Week of Smiles, Growth, and Unforgettable Memories! 🐴💙

This summer, we had the incredible privilege of welcoming the children from Gemma Residential Martin Luther school to Sebastian Riding Associates for a week of summer camp filled with horses, friendship, laughter, confidence, and new experiences.

Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the healing and joy that horses can bring, and thanks to the generosity of the JDN Foundation, that opportunity became a reality for a second week this summer for another group of well deserving students.

💙 Thank you, JDN Foundation, for sponsoring this special week of camp. Your support made it possible for these amazing children to connect with our equine partners, build confidence, create lasting memories, and simply enjoy being kids in a safe and encouraging environment.

To our campers—you inspired us with your courage, enthusiasm, and smiles. We are so grateful you chose to spend your week with us and hope you’ll always remember your time at the barn.

To our volunteers, staff, and everyone who helped make camp a success—thank you for sharing your time, compassion, and talents.

To our equine team, you changed lives with your quiet love and devotion to each student. Your unwavering strength that you willingly gave to grow confidence in each camper, we thank you!

Together, we are changing lives, one ride, one smile, and one connection at a time. ❤️
