5M8 District Governor-Elect Diann Bellmont of the Cold Spring Home Pride Lions, along with Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation Trustee Mike Appel and Past Trustee Bob Harms, attended the 2026 D-Feet Hearing Loss Walk at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska.

The annual walk serves as a fundraiser for the Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation, supporting programs and services that promote hearing health throughout Minnesota.

A highlight of this year's event was the introduction of the MD5M Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation's first Mobile Audiology and Vision Screening Unit!

This state-of-the-art mobile screening unit can assess hearing for individuals of all ages and provide vision screenings for children, helping increase awareness of the importance of early detection and intervention. Equipped with advanced testing spaces and a sound booth, the mobile unit can be reserved by local Lions clubs and community organizations for health fairs, school screenings, and public events.

The new unit expands upon the foundation's longstanding commitment to hearing and vision health, including statewide newborn hearing detection programs and providing hearing aids to those in need.

Together, Lions are making a difference by bringing vital screening services directly to communities across Minnesota.

What brings us together is the desire to serve those in need in our community. We also like to personally support our local community and nurture friendships in our club. Last night we enjoyed a meal together at Marnanteli’s followed by going to the Addams Family play at Rocori.
To learn more about our club or to join, please contact us, speak with a member, or attend one of our meetings, held the 1st Thursday of each month at 6 PM. In June, July and August meetings take place at Lions Park in Cold Spring.
You are not committed to join by coming to a meeting - just check out who we are and what we do!
