Week of 2/17/2026
Congratulations to our girls’ flag football team on an outstanding season! The team placed second in Division 2 and has officially qualified for the MSAA Playoffs. Their growth, teamwork, and determination have been inspiring to watch. The Lady Lions will compete in Round 1 of the MSAA Playoffs on Wednesday, February 17, as they travel to Westglades Middle School. We encourage our school community to pack the stands and show our Lions the support they deserve as they begin their playoff run. Thank you for your continued support of our students and athletic programs.

iReady Expectations & Beanstack
At Lyons Creek Middle School, we encourage families to support literacy at home. Students should use i-Ready Reading and complete nightly independent reading, logging minutes in Beanstack through Clever. The weekly goal is 50 minutes for both i-Ready Reading and Math. Consistent practice at home helps students grow and succeed across all subjects.
FOCUS Parent Portal
Staying connected to grades and attendance each week helps set students up for success.
Arrival & Dismissal
• Car riders use Johnson Road only. Please do not drop off or pick up on any of the roads along Sol Press or the Recreation Center.
• Morning drop-off begins at 9:00 AM
• Afternoon pick-up begins at 4:00 PM
• Before & Aftercare is available for families needing extended supervision. Contact Ms. Shena Wright at [email protected] for details.
• Thank you for following procedures to keep all students safe.
Bus Dismissal
Students who ride the bus must follow all rules and procedures to ensure a safe and orderly dismissal. At the end of the school day, an administrator calls the first nine buses. These students are to report to the bus loop immediately when the bell rings. All other bus riders are to report to the cafeteria, be seated by their bus route, and wait for their bus to be called. Students who do not follow these procedures are creating an unsafe and chaotic dismissal time. Parents, please reinforce these procedures with your students to ensure that our Lions are dismissed in a safe and orderly manner.
Athletic Department
Please ensure that your student-athlete registers before tryouts. No exceptions. FHSAA forms are available online on the Aktivate registration site. All forms MUST be submitted online. For more information, please contact the Athletic Director, Mr. Senghor, at [email protected]
