✨ GLOW UP: HAMPTON ✨

Once upon a time, Hampton was living at a Hampton Inn (seriously), and life wasn't looking too good for this boy. He was in pretty rough shape, trying to survive outdoors with no one to call his own.

But sometimes, all it takes is one person who refuses to look the other way.

His feeder, who was staying at the hotel long-term while serving in the military, began feeding him and looking after him. Week after week, she patiently earned his trust, never rushing him and never giving up. And after many weeks, she finally got him safely inside. And that's when everything changed. 🧡

Fast forward to today, and just LOOK AT HIM! Hampton is living his absolute best indoor life in Michigan. Safe, loved, comfortable, and exactly where he belongs.

From surviving in a hotel parking lot to having a home of his own. From wondering where his next meal would come from to never having to worry again.

THIS is what saving a life looks like. It looks like showing up every day, even when progress is slow. And sometimes, it looks like one person deciding that a cat deserves better.

Hampton, we couldn't be happier for you. Enjoy that happily-ever-after, handsome boy! ❤️🐾

🐾 Hello, new friend 🐾

Toby came to us last night after being found alone in a yard in Titusville. At approximately 5½ weeks old, he weighs just 10 ounces. He is emaciated, anemic, suffering from an upper respiratory infection, covered in fleas, and was cold to the touch when he arrived. His gums are white, and he is quite literally skin and bones. 😞

A huge thank you to Crystal, who found him and has been working so hard to trap and get the cats on her street spayed and neutered. Your efforts matter, and Toby is lucky you were there. ❤️

Our volunteers got Toby home, cleaned him up, warmed him, and began providing fluids, B12, antibiotics, and eye medication. Once he was warm enough, we offered him food, and this poor little guy was absolutely ravenous!

Because he is so severely malnourished, we have to be very careful about how much food he receives at a time. Feeding a kitten too much, too quickly after prolonged starvation can lead to refeeding syndrome, a potentially life-threatening complication. Every step has to be taken carefully as we work to get his tiny body back on track. And you should never feed a cold kitten... hypothermia causes the body systems to slow dramatically, and digestion stops when a kitten's temperature drops.

We don't know how Toby ended up alone, cold, and so desperately hungry, but we do know that we're going to fight for him. We're pulling out all the stops and hoping this little guy has the strength to turn a corner.

Please send Toby all your happy thoughts, good vibes, and healing wishes. He has so much catching up to do, and we're hoping for some encouraging progress in the days ahead. 🐱💙

🖤🐈‍⬛ HAPPY NATIONAL BLACK CAT DAY! 🐈‍⬛🖤

Today, October 27th, we’re celebrating the sleek, mysterious, goofy, and downright wonderful cats who deserve a little extra love today (and every day)!

🖤 A few fun black cat facts:

🐈‍⬛ They were once considered good luck! In ancient Egypt, cats were revered, and in parts of Britain and Japan, black cats have been associated with good fortune and prosperity.

🐈‍⬛ Sailors loved having them aboard! Black cats were often kept on ships to control rodents, and some sailors believed they brought good luck and safe voyages.

🐈‍⬛ That black coat is fascinating! Black fur gets its color from melanin, and some black cats develop beautiful reddish or rusty-brown highlights in sunlight.

🐈‍⬛ They're often overlooked in shelters. Sadly, black cats can take longer to find homes in some shelters because of old superstitions and misconceptions. Their coat color says absolutely nothing about their personality!

🐈‍⬛ They're not all mysterious and spooky! Behind those beautiful golden, copper, or green eyes are cats with their own unique personalities — from playful troublemakers to affectionate lap cats and independent little observers.

🖤 Why do we love black cats? Because they’re cats! They deserve the same safety, care, affection, and chance at a loving home as every other feline. Whether they're friendly house cats, shy community cats, or the little shadow following you around the house, every one of them matters.

Today, give a black cat some extra love or consider adopting one who's waiting for a family of their own.

And remember: the only bad luck is missing out on the love of a black cat! 🖤🐾

🐾🤎 TWO NEW HANDSOME BROTHERS IN THE PET SUPERMARKET TOWER! 🤎🐾

🏡 Meet Buck & Beau😻! They’re just 4 months old and ready to find their forever families!

💔Their first 5 weeks of life were anything but easy, and they had a very rough start.

❤️‍🩹Thankfully, they were rescued and have spent the last few months safe in foster care, where they’ve had the chance to grow, thrive, and get ready for the wonderful lives they deserve.

🥰Now it’s time for their next chapter! These boys are ready to leave their tough beginning behind and start living the happy, carefree kitten life they deserve!

🙏We would love to see these brothers be adopted together! BUT, if that isn't possible, we would be so happy for each boy to go to a home with another young, playful cat to be their buddy! They have so much life ahead of them and deserve loving homes where they can play, grow, and be part of a family.

🐱 CALLING ALL TRAPPERS! 🐱

Space Coast Feline Network will be holding a Community Cat Spay & Neuter Clinic on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Brevard County Animal Care Center on Eau Gallie in Melbourne!

If you have community cats in need of TNR, we’d love to hear from you!

✂️ Cats will receive:
🐾 Spay/neuter surgery
💉 Vaccinations
🐾 Flea treatment
🩺 A veterinary exam and treatment for medical concerns as needed

There is no cost to trappers to participate! Donations are always appreciated and help us continue providing these services to our community.

📌 Important: Trappers must be able to transport their trapped cats to the clinic and pick them up the same day.

🐾 $2 TUESDAY: Fred G. Sanford & Elizabeth 🐾

Today’s $2 Tuesday features two little faces from a local scrapyard where more than 60 cats are being trapped for TNR.

Meet Fred G. Sanford and Elizabeth. ❤️

Fred is only about 5 weeks old, but at just 1/4 pound, he is severely underweight for his age. He also came to us dragging his left rear leg, and we’re working to determine what’s going on and what he needs. Both kittens arrived with URIs and ringworm. 😿

These kittens are just a small part of a much bigger effort to help the cats living at this scrapyard. While the adults are being trapped, spayed or neutered, and returned, the little ones who are too young to fend for themselves need a chance at a different future.

For $2 Tuesday, every $2 donation helps cover the cost of food, supplies, veterinary care, and the ongoing work of TNR. If you can give a little more, we’re grateful for every dollar!
