*** Closed for Intake***
It breaks my heart to have to make this post, but at this time I am closed for taking in new kittens or cats.
I receive requests every single day to take in kittens, and saying "no" is one of the hardest parts of rescue. Unfortunately, I have reached the point where I simply cannot continue to do so. I do not have the funds or space.
On average, it costs around $200 per kitten for veterinary visits, vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, food, litter, and other supplies before they are ready for adoption. For a long time, I have been covering these expenses out of my own pocket because donations have been zero. While I have always been happy to help, I can no longer afford to continue doing this on my own.
Right now, my priority has to be providing the best possible care for the animals already in my rescue. Taking in more animals without the resources to care for them would not be fair to them or to the ones already depending on me.
If you have found kittens, please contact your local animal shelter, other rescue organizations, or see if friends or family are able to help or foster them while you search for placement.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my rescue over the years. I truly wish I could save every kitten, but I have to be responsible and recognize my limits. I appreciate your understanding and hope to reopen intake when funding and space allows.
