Robert Castle (Turtle) a brother to Linework is in need of prayer and support due to a blood illness still not certain of. A single income family needs us!

To everyone who continued to keep him in your prayers Ty.. Today we went for his 6 month check up from returning to work and the doctor said his levels are all in normal ranges and he is glad.. he said it’s looks like this stuff is behind us and he will continue to be good!

I know I haven’t updated in awhile but here goes! He has gone back to work but he still has to do weekly blood draws to keep check on his levels, his levels are holding stable not all are back in normal ranges yet but where the doctor feels they are good enough for him to work! He is just now coming out of surgery headed to recovery ... doc said minimal blood loss so he will stay a few days due to being anemic but that he did really good during the procedure

I wanted update everyone following his story .... he started his chemo treatments in Jan ( was hospitalized again for a week) due to very low Hemoglobin levels ... he finished his 4 weeks of chemo and his levels were stable, stayed stable for a couple weeks and slowly started dropping again, So the doc upped his steroids ( he has been on since nov) to try and bring them back up some. We went this week and they have scheduled his for surgery for next month ( to remove his spleen) because the antibodies in it are destroying his Red blood cells . Please continue your prayers for our family as we continue on this journey ( going on the 6 month ) Thank you and God Bless!

He is still currently out of work... we are on week 3 of chemo and we are staying positive this works ( or atleast sends us in the right direction) please keep those prayers coming! Ty

He was admitted into the hospital again this evening .... his hemoglobin Level is at 5 and his sugar is 500 the doc said he didn’t feel safe sending him home with as pale as he is and with his levels so low! Starting blood transfusion 1 of 2 for tonight and a 2nd IV ... hopefully this stay isn’t aslong as the last ...Please keep those prayers coming!

Treatment 1 of 4 over the next month... His levels have been all over the place and the steroids helped at first but now aren’t so good... we shall see where this step takes us! Keep those prayers coming!

Update: We went to the specialist and his levels are starting to get really low again so he will be starting a rituximab infusion therapy to help treat his autoimmune hemolytic anemia it will be a 1x a week for 4 weeks therapy, so he will continue to be out of work until further notice.

Today we went to duke for him to see his specialist and his level have dropped some.. so he has upped his steroids and is getting approval for a new plan of action to see if it will help better... He has to have more blood drawn on the 26th to recheck his levels ( make sure they haven’t dropped more) so we will know more next week!! Please keep the prayers coming it’s looking to be a longer journey than what we first thought!

Update Time!!! His platelet level is at 80,000( praise god), His hemoglobin is at 8 and his white blood count is at 2.4!!! Best numbers we seen in awhile, Doc said they are still low but he is happy with them right now . Still taken his meds and weekly blood test for now!! Thank you for all the prayers and please keep them coming.

Just alittle update ... His platelet level is steady at 60,000 steroids are helping them as of now ... we do weekly blood draws to check his levels to make sure they are crashing ... He is happy to be home we’re we can spend time with the kids( being away from them for 35 days ( even tho they are older) was hard on us and them! Please continue those prayers
