All of us know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer. Do you remember how you felt when you found out that someone you knew had cancer? Now, try to imagine the person you are told that has cancer is YOUR OWN CHILD. We, Arthur and Rozanne Wille, have been those parents. Now, we have started, “The Sweet Eats Program In Memory of Hendrix Wille”. Hendrix was our only son, whom was diagnosed with

an aggressive form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia at the age of 2. He underwent multiple rounds of intensive chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant before his leukemia returned. Hendrix inspired all of those around him to smile more, laugh more, give more, share more, and love more. He died at home surrounded by his family and loved ones at the age of 3, on April 16, 2013. We learned during our journey that caring for a seriously ill child is emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially draining. Long hospital stays can also be very isolating. We are comforting other families by providing a space where they can get
free food, drinks, meals, laundry service, and emotional support from other caregivers. This allows families to focus their time and energy on loving and caring for all of their children.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR GALA EVENT, SPONSORSHIP/DONATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR OCT 10

Hello Families, friends, loved ones, Sweet Eats families/patients and supporters. We are in need of a lot of support for our upcoming Gala Event on Sat Oct 10. Please reach out if you are interested in helping in any way 🥰. All help is appreciated and we need some go getters who are not shy to reach out to the community to help with the fundraising. We THANK YOU!

1. Those interested in fundraising. Anyone who is willing to go out and get business donations, items for the silent auction, dessert auction, sell tables. Or if you have a group of young students, organizations, or want to create a team, WE NEED YOU PLEASE. We are happy to get you the flyers/donation forms.

2. Young students or adults who would like to assist the day of the event to help check people in, help clear tables, and help check people out with their auction items (this has been high school and college students in the past).

3. Any family/child that has used/appreciated the Sweet Eats Room and would like to submit a high resolution photo of their child to display at the event, just email it to me at [email protected].

4. We created a sponsorship table for $1000 for In Honor/In Memory of a Sweet Eats Child. This is for family/friends that would like to attend the event and honor their loved one that has been through treatment and all sit together. Also if a business can not attend, they can sponsor the table and donate it to a family🩷🩷

5. Other sponsorship opportunities for the Gala Event-
Sponsor 2 Dessert Auction Cakes- $100
Sponsor the LED Glow sticks for the dance party- $150
Sponsor the nonalcoholic drinks- $250
Sponsor the kids displayed photos-$500
Sponsor the DJ/entertainment for the evening- $1125
Sponsor and donate your photography and video skills the day of by being our videographer for the event.

Thank you to the Miss Clovis Scholarship Organization for donating and stocking the kitchen this weekend.

They were awarded the funds from the Central California Women’s Conference to complete the project. They had their six titleholders: Miss Clovis, Miss City of Fresno, Miss Fresno County and the Teens… as well as their Littles who are part of their mentorship program participate this weekend.

Each group had a list and a budget and had to get their items under budget. Then they all went and unpacked it in the Sweet Eats kitchen🥰.

Hi Sweet Eats Families and Friends. Here are the details/needs for the upcoming event Oct 10. Thanks for your continued support.

1. We are in need of sponsorships for the event and table sales. Individual tickets sales will go on sale closer to the event date

2. There will be a silent auction and dessert auction. If you would like to donate for these, please text me Roze at 559-341-8325 with your details/items.

3. We will be making a new video of Sweet Eats families and printing new photos of Sweet Eats kids. If you would have used the kitchen or had a hot meal on a holiday and would like to participate, please text me at 559-341-8325. If you would like your child's beautiful photo displayed at the event, please email me a high quality resolution photo at [email protected].

4. If you have any other ideas or suggestions or ways you would like to contribute, then please reach out. We are open to all ideas/support from our friends and families.
