Central Valley Veterans Our mission: to honor any U.S Veteran with support and guidance to improve quality of their lives. Near to our heart is our hospitality house.

Our Veteran Outreach efforts involve acting as “first responders” to the emergency needs of Veterans, Active service members and their families. We respond to emergency housing needs, needs for food, clothing, toiletries and emergency/overdue utility bill payment needs. We have also purchased college books, repaired vehicles and provided funds for attending family funeral services. We provide unco

nditional support to our heroes in need, filling the gaps to which other veterans organizations are unable to support due to program restrictions. Our experience and relationships with the Veteran Community allow us to, after emergency concerns are resolved, direct Veterans and their families to services for long term solutions to their needs. Currently we are renting 3500 square feet of storage for clothing and personal hygiene items, food pantry and storage for items for direct Veteran support events like our Stand Down. In addition to providing financial support to local veterans, Central Valley Veterans also serves the community in many other ways. In 2015, Central Valley Veterans purchased the single story house located near the V.A Hospital in Fresno, CA We use the house for temporary housing for those receiving treatment, emergency housing for homeless or at-risk veterans and their families during their greatest time of need. The house serves as a place of comfort, featuring a garden, play area, and covered patio in a fenced backyard. The house also provides a food pantry and many basic personal care supplies. Operating cost for the house include property taxes, house cleaning, lawn maintenance and utilities, which makes up about 35% of our annual budget.

What an incredible day at the 11th Annual Central Valley Women’s Stand Up event!
Yesterday, we were honored to join this amazing gathering celebrating women Veterans and the strength of their service. Chief Casto delivered an inspiring keynote that truly set the tone for a day of connection, empowerment, and support.
A heartfelt thank you for the beautiful blanket ceremony; it was such a meaningful way to symbolize wrapping our department in safety.
This event accomplished exactly what it was created to do: provide a welcoming space where women Veterans can connect, be celebrated, and access the resources they deserve.
We’re grateful to everyone who made this event so special!
