What a year it has been! 💙

Our LEO team has been working tirelessly all year, and from the 2026 DC Summit to Lionworks, Ironworks, site visits, panels, mentorship, and so much more, it has been a year full of growth, opportunity, and incredible moments with our students.

Now, it is time for our team to take a few weeks to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the final days of summer before the new school year kicks into full swing. ☀️

We will be logging off for a little while, but we will be back soon with updates, highlights from our LEO cohorts, and plenty more to come!

As a longtime mentor for the Don Bosco Prep LEO program, it was special to welcome one of our talented teams to Mahwah yesterday. Mayor Jim Wysocki and Township Engineer Mike Kelly listened as the students pitched a product design aimed at helping municipalities save time, resources, and millions in tax dollars. The insights and advice Mr. Kelly shared will be a huge asset to our team as they continue their journey, not just in developing this product, but in building the entrepreneurial mindset that’s at the heart of The Leonidas Foundation.

I’m also grateful to John Esposito for his years of service to The Prep. His impact on our future leaders can’t be overstated. Days like this remind me why I love being part of this program; watching these students step up, take risks, and grow right before our eyes.

Our annual Washington, D.C. Leadership Summit is about so much more than visiting our nation's capital. It's about giving students the opportunity to build confidence, expand their perspectives, develop leadership skills, and connect with professionals who inspire them to dream bigger.

From networking with leaders in government and industry to participating in an entrepreneurship bootcamp at the George Washington University Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, every experience is designed to prepare students to lead with purpose.

We're so proud of this incredible group and can't wait to see where their journeys take them. The future is bright. 💙

We are incredibly grateful for partners like Bob and the George Washington University Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship for helping make our annual Washington, D.C. Leadership Summit such a meaningful experience.

Their entrepreneurship bootcamp gives our students the opportunity to think creatively, collaborate, and learn from leaders who are passionate about investing in the next generation.

Today marks 10 years since we lost Leo.

While we wish he were here to see all that has grown from his vision, we know his legacy lives on every single day.

What began as a promise to honor Leo Vagias has become a movement rooted in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Opportunity. Over the past decade, the Leonidas Foundation has empowered students to discover their potential, build confidence, pursue their dreams, and become leaders in their schools and communities.

None of this would be possible without the incredible students, families, educators, volunteers, corporate partners, donors, and friends who have believed in this mission from the very beginning. Thank you for helping us transform loss into purpose and purpose into impact.
