📣Open foster homes in the area, this is for you! 🙌🏼

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! At the conclusion of next week's closet sale fundraiser, we will stay open for one additional hour to allow foster families to come shop all of our remaining items completely FREE OF CHARGE!! On Saturday, 10/24, from 1:30 - 2:30pm, please bring paperwork to show that you are an active foster family and shop till you drop! We always have SO many great finds at the end of our fundraisers!

Please note, this shopping hour is ONLY available for active foster parents and their children. Admittance of friends, relatives, and the general public will be prohibited. We will close our doors at 1:00 when the general sale ends, do some tidying up, and doors will open back up to foster families promptly at 1:30.

We are SO grateful for each church that has opened its doors, rallied volunteers, and helped create a fun, safe place for kiddos while giving foster, kinship, and adoptive parents a chance to take a breath, enjoy a date night, run errands, or simply rest and take a much-needed night off! ❤️

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲. Every Parents’ Night Out is another reminder to these families that they are loved, supported, and surrounded by a community that is cheering them on.

This month’s Support Group gathering will be next Monday, October 19th! We meet from 6-8pm, but we start serving dinner around 5:45 - so anyone that wants to can come then.

We partner with First Baptist Cleveland to co-lead this gathering with Kelly and Tara Knouse. The meeting is held at First Baptist Cleveland in room 225, and the childcare is provided by their team as well.

This group exists to create a supportive space for people involved in the system - a place to be around others who truly get it. It’s always an amazing time of sharing hearts, struggles, laughs, victories, and hurdles. We hope to see you there!

We are gearing up for the holiday season, when we often see an uptick in the number of kiddos coming into custody around this time of year.

Want to help support kiddos coming into foster care and the families opening their doors to them? 🫶

We are desperately needing to expand our 𝐨𝐧-𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 for our New Placement Support Program!

📍We are looking for volunteers in Bradley and Hamilton County.

🍽️Our on-call meal team consists of community members who agree to be on-call to make a hot meal for a foster or kinship family within the first few days following receiving a new placement. This makes such a huge impact on the families we serve, as the first few weeks after receiving a new placement can be so hectic.

Please message us if you are interested in standing in the gap for children and families impacted by the foster care system during some of their hardest days! 🤍

We are in need of 7 volunteers in the Bradley County area to complete teams for 3 of our families!

The ask is simple: provide practical, sustainable support to a foster family by bringing them a meal just one night a month. 🫶

We also have MULTIPLE families on our waitlist in Hamilton County, so if you’re in that area and want to love on foster families in a practical way with us, we’d love to have you!

Help us be the village to these families- one meal, one small act of kindness at a time. 🤝

After serving over 100 families so far this year, our organization has most definitely outgrown what our team can do on a volunteer basis!

We are looking for a compassionate, kind, and dedicated individual to join our team, help us love on the foster and adoptive community, and become the first paid member of our organization! 🫶

We will continue to rely on our incredible volunteers to help with the day-to-day operations of our organization, but we are so excited to take this next step in our growth and expand our capacity to better serve our families and children!

They donated $100 worth of items to our organization so we can bless our kiddos and families with some amazing sensory support items! 💪🏻🥹

Each of our baskets are tailored to your child and their specific sensory needs and include a wide range of brain + body based support tools to help your child feel more regulated and safe in their own body.

Thanks to our amazing monthly donors and community partners, we have almost completely cleared our waitlist for our sensory regulation baskets! 🎉🥹🙌🏼 ln the past year, we’ve been able to provide over 20 children with these baskets, and we couldn’t do work like this without you!

On Friday, Oct 2nd, from 6:00-9:00pm, ChristWay Church will be hosting a Parents Night Out with us!

This event is for foster, kinship, & adoptive families 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 - 𝟭𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱 (And it is for all of your kiddos - bio, adoptive, & foster!)

There will be dinner, games, and more provided and the entire event is FREE.

All the childcare workers for this event will be background checked and receive a brief trauma informed training from our team, to help prepare them for caring for your kiddos! As always, our Resource Collective team will also be onsite. 🤍

This event is capped at 70 kiddos, so make sure you get your registration in early!
