November is National Homelessness Awareness Month.
Every year, millions of children and parents experience the trauma of losing their home, often due to circumstances beyond their control.
But family homelessness doesn't always look the way people expect. Many families experiencing homelessness are staying in motels, sleeping in their cars, or doubled up with others, making their struggles largely invisible.
There’s a silver lining to all of this: family homelessness is preventable.
Communities across the country are proving that local solutions can make a difference. Every day, Family Promise sites work alongside families to build a path toward lasting stability. It’s how we served 31,500 families last year through our core programs. 💜
