Wow, our scouts have been incredibly busy over the past few weeks! 💨🏕️

Here’s a look at what we've been up to:

🇺🇸 Honoring & Giving Back 🐦

Last Saturday, May 30th, we held a meaningful Flag Retirement Ceremony with American Legion Post 157 Churubusco, VFW Post 3846 Churubusco, Troop 81 Busco and Busco Girl Scouts along with hosting a successful Food Drive to support our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed! 🧺❤️ (Video highlight in comments).

🚀 First Annual Twilight Day Camp! 🌌

We rolled right from our weekend service into the earlier part of this week for our camp, and the kids had an absolute blast! 🎉 Check out all the awesome activities they tackled:

🔨 Woodworking & Crafting: Building Raingutter Regatta boats, tooling custom leatherwork, and making their own camp T-shirts! 🎨

🚀 High-Flying Fun: Launching both 2-liter bottle rockets and epic Estes model rockets! 🪐

🌱 Conservation Projects: Learning how to give back to the planet by recycling, planting biodegradable flowers, and crafting handmade bird feeders! 🐦🌻

We are so proud of our scouts' hard work, creativity, and dedication to our community. Safe to say, memories were definitely made! 🎒✨

Help our scouts go to camp!!!

Our Cub Scouts are gearing up for a summer full of learning, friendship, and the great outdoors!

To make these activities possible, we’re hosting a Dine & Donate event at Heroes Family Bistro on April 13th.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or a family dinner, your support makes a huge difference. Every slice helps us cover the costs of camp registrations and summer adventures.

Bonus!!! If you stop by between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM you will be able to meet the pack! The kids would love to see you there.

Tonight a few of our local scouts led a flag presentation and the Pledge of Allegiance at the annual Churubusco Rotary Auction. Three scouting units were represented. Great job scouts!!

Come out and support Troop 81 Busco. THIS FRIDAY and get a 🍽 🐟 😋 yummy dinner 😋 🍽 🐟 at the same tume. The American Legion Post 157 Churubusco is serving up an all-you-can-eat fish special with two sides for just $20! Come on down and support Boy Scout Troop 81! 11am until gone. 🎣🐟

Our scouts are selling porkburgers as a fundraiser to support their camp attendance and summertime activities.

If you would like to support them, please return the order forms circulating in town or contact Dani LeFever or Nicole Geary at 260-242-0311 or [email protected], and I will ensure that one of our youth members receives your order.

Each box is priced at $25.00, and all orders must be received by April 13. Burgers will be from Pork and Cleaver in Mirriam. Tentative delivery scheduled for mid-May, just in time for Memorial Day celebrations.

Our Scouts had so much fun yesterday racing their cars in our Annual Pinewood Derby. Our leaders even had some fun!! Thanks to everyone who came out to the races.

Scout Sunday 2026.

Our scouts visited Churubusco United Methodist Church and presented a fun-filled overview of our scouting year this morning, accompanied by a slideshow of memorable experiences. We visited and shared greetings with the congregation and handed out buliten.
