SUMMER FEEDING INFORMATION FOR JUNE 17-21

Second Harvest Food Bank is working to fill the gap for children under the age of 18 whose families need help securing meals during the summer.

Each child will receive a box containing 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches for the week. Children do not have to be present.

📣We're excited to announce we've secured places to set up both in Greene County and Washington County in the coming weeks. More on those dates and locations soon. In the mean time while our main focus has always been the homeless population and will continue to be, we've seen a huge need for those who are on fixed incomes, low incomes and just struggling in this economy. We're hoping to help fulfill a small part of those needs by providing food boxes at our next couple of stops to see how it goes. In order to do this we're hosting a nonperishable food drive, information below. These boxes will be available to those who are truly in need on a first come first serve basis while supplies last, one per household. If you or someone you know personal or business would like to donate, contact information is listed on the flyer below.

📢 Food Box Distribution Schedule Update 📢

Please note that during the months of June and July, My Neighbor's House will be distributing food boxes every other Tuesday, from 4:00-6:00, instead of weekly. This is a temporary schedule adjustment for the summer months.

Food box distributions will take place on:

✅ July 14
✅ July 28

We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to share this information with anyone who may benefit from our food assistance program.

Update: We're so grateful for the response and the people who have reached out with leads as well as donations. We are returning messages and looking at locations as quickly as possible so that we can get out and do what we love doing which is serving others. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! We look forward to making new connections, partnerships and friends in Greene County!

📣‼️BUSINESS OR PROPERTY OWNERS IN GREENEVILLE, TN WE'RE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO SET UP ONE TO TWO SATURDAYS A MONTH!📣👇
We operate out of a 24' box trailer that allows us to relocate and serve in different locations across Northeast Tennessee. Recently we've been serving in Erwin, TN one to two Saturdays a month handing out essential supplies and a meal to the homeless and those in need, thanks to Duncan Mechanical who allows us to use their gravel lot to set up in. The need has rather slowed down for the moment in Erwin, so we're looking for locations who will allow us to set up in Greeneville as we're aware there is a need for such resources. If you or anyone you know owns a lot where they would allow us to set up for a couple hours one to two Saturdays a month please reach out to us! We're looking for somewhere possibly located on the bypass or in a general area in walking distance for those who may need our services. We're also open to collecting other resources and information to pass along to the individuals we serve! Thank you all in advance any leads are appreciated.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee will host Mobile Food Pantry distributions this week at the locations listed below.

Mtn. Vision Ministries, Greeneville– 6/4- 10:00AM
Blountville UMC, Blountville– 6/5- 12:30PM

Note- Distribution times vary by site and are first come, first served. Sites, dates, and times are subject to change based on weather.

We serve Carter, Hancock, Hawkins, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington Counties in Northeast Tennessee. If you are located in Southwest Virginia, please contact Feeding Southwest Virginia. If you are located west of us, please reach out to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.
