TROUBLE’S STORY: 🩵🐾✨

Trouble’s story began at a local fireworks stand, where this tiny kitten was found completely alone, with no mother or siblings anywhere in sight— most likely dumped or thrown out. A kind client of our resort found him and brought him to us, knowing he desperately needed help. When Trouble arrived, he was fighting a severe upper respiratory infection and devastating eye infections, leaving him in critical condition. Sadly, the damage was so severe that Trouble lost both of his eyes. He will live the rest of his life as a blind cat—a heartbreaking reminder of what can happen when you choose to abandon what was once a healthy animal.

But Trouble was never going to face that journey alone. He needed syringe feedings every two hours, day and night, along with constant warmth, medication, and care. Robin carried him back and forth between home and the resort so he could receive around-the-clock attention, while Dr. Megan and Dr. Matt helped give this little fighter the medical care he needed to survive. There were so many moments when we weren’t sure what the outcome would be, but Trouble kept fighting.

Today Trouble is thriving! He has graduated from syringe feedings to eating wet kitten food all by himself and has discovered that life is full of cozy snuggles, heating pads, warm rice socks, and people who absolutely adore him. He may never see the world around him again, but he knows what it feels like to be loved. His story is a reminder that even the smallest lives are worth fighting for—and that neglect may have taken his sight, but it will never take away his chance to live a happy, beautiful life. 🐾🩵✨
