The Coello Fire Dept was awarded a new 4 gas meter made possible by MABAS Illinois. This monitor was provided free of charge. This monitor will allow us to monitor Oxygen, CO and hydrogen sulfide levels at an incident.

North City - Coello Il. water customers can you please check your home's basements garages yards and businesses to see if any if you have a possible water leak. The daily use of water today is at an alarmingly high rate which indicates a water leak somewhere. Our mayor and city employees have been out looking for such a leak and have not found said leak. So the mayor is asking that each of our customers please check your Homes/Businesses water lines, basements, yards & garages to see if you may have a possible water leak. If you do please contact the water department or the mayor at City Hall (618) 513-2023 Thank you.

SPRING CLEAN UP IS THIS WEDNESDAY APRIL 16
Let's get our little village cleaned up folks. Let's do some spring cleaning. Wednesday April 16th make sure your items permitted for spring cleanup are out by your trash cans. Check the Republic list for what's allowed. If your yard & home don't need cleaned up feel free to pick a street in our little village & pick up trash out of the ditches & place it into bags next to your trash can. Any little act of kindness and caring for our little village is a welcomed blessing
