Community Cats TNR Community Cats TNR is a 501(c)(3) organization founded to help the local stray and feral cats. Our volunteers are not paid. Our funds are strictly donations.

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)
We are currently working in the City of Christopher but hope to work in nearby towns in the future. We have a passion to help prevent unwanted kittens from being born, which will reduce the feral/stray cat population. We are not funded by the city, state or federal government. The more donations we raise, the more cats we can spay and neuter.

Another colony that Kerry, one of our volunteers, cares for every day.
We have TNRd 39 cats and are ready to start the 2026 season.
Our donations will cover our goal of 26 cats this year but we have an important need: a covered space or portable small shed/building that we can use for recovery after surgery.

Purrl would like to welcome you to her colony for a peek at the life her wonderful caregiver has created for several community cats that have been successfully TNRd.

Our group has an immediate, desperate need for a building to serve as a caregiving site.
We have a location but need a small building that we can run electric to.
We have enough funds to neuter and spay the cats this year but we need a building in order to care for their recovery for a couple of days after their surgery.
If you know of someone that would be willing to donate a building or you would like to donate, please let us know.
This is not in our budget this year and we need to get trapping to prevent more kittens from being born.

This cat may have looked pregnant, but if someone had waited because they “couldn’t stand the thought” of a spay-abort, she likely wouldn’t be here at all. 😭

She’s only 6 months old. Just a baby herself.🍼 And she was in heat with pyometra. Pyo can look like a pregnancy from the outside, but it is a severe uterine infection that is fatal if left untreated. Without a spay there wouldn’t have been a second chance for her.

Instead, Kirsten saved her life by getting her to the Clinic yesterday. ❤️‍🩹 Her infected uterus and ovaries were removed and she was given antibiotics to take care of any remaining infection.

This girl is 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 why TNR MATTERS‼️ Without intervention, she wouldn’t have made it through the summer. Her story could have ended before it really even began.

Sometimes what we 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 is kind isn’t what 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

Some people don't even want to consider an option they deem to be "cruel" or "morally wrong".

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘦𝘭 is a young cat forced to become a mother and raise her kittens outdoors with all the dangers that presents.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘦𝘭 is her body being worn down, going into heat over and over, bred repeatedly, never getting a break. Pregnant again before she's even done nursing the last litter.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘦𝘭 is allowing litter after litter to be born into the same struggle, only to repeat the cycle all over again.

Real compassion isn’t always easy, but it’s what prevents that suffering before it starts. ❤
