We’re excited to share an announcement from our partners at Virginia Works and Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC), with the help of the Virginia Consensus for Higher Education in Prison (VCHEP) and Resilience Education. In honor of April being National Fair Chance Month, this partnership officially launched a new microsite, VirginiaHasJobs.com/FairChance — a career launchpad designed to support justice-involved Virginians in accessing available Fair Chance jobs, career mapping tools and training/education opportunities, and more personalized resources to help them build sustainable careers.
This announcement comes on the heels of the “Open Doors to Opportunity” Virtual Hiring Event on April 29th, 2026— a first-of-its-kind collaboration that brought over 700 justice‑impacted jobseekers together with employers ready to hire.
By sharing this new site, you’re helping:
· Connect justice‑impacted Virginians with real opportunities
· Strengthen reentry pathways and workforce connections statewide
· Ensure more communities are connected to support they need
Together, we’re expanding access to opportunity, strengthening our workforce, and opening doors that lead to lasting economic mobility for all Virginians. Your support helps more justice-impacted people find their footing, connect with meaningful careers, and build stronger futures.
