Hardin Jefferson Hunger Initiative Corp The Hardin Jefferson Hunger Initiative is a non-profit food pantry.

Our mission is to nourish our neighbors in Hardin Jefferson by providing food for those who would otherwise go without. Goals:
-Help our neighbors when they have no where else to turn.
-Create a community hub where all can congregate and help their community.
-Supply a computer and printer with internet access for those who are without.
-Supply a cell phone for the public's use when we are open.

Sacking food for distribution tomorrow was so much fun today. We had lots of extra help: Beaumont Elks Lodge 311, First Liberty Bank, NHS students, - it sure was a nice, much appreciated break for the regulars. Anyone is welcome to come and help us on the 2nd Monday of the month at 9:00. This is your invitation to join us anytime and help sack the groceries.

Hardin Jefferson Junior High finished out the year with a big cereal collection for the pantry. It was stacked high when it all got unloaded. We love these cereal drives since we give them as a summer extra. We hope that the children who are out of school for the summer will munch on this cereal instead of junk food. 😬😬. Thanks HJJH

We can't say "Thank You" enough for the wonderful donation from Beaumont Elks Lodge 311. This huge donation of $2500 sure did help lover the blood pressure of the volunteers who manage our pantry💖💖💖. Each $1 donated to our pantry will provide meals for 3 persons. Do the math and you will see just how much of an impact this donation will make in helping the people in our community. .

Unloading 61 Brown Bags of Hope donated by Lumberton Brookshire Brothers. Our pantry is blessed to have BB donate these bags that their patrons purchase. We use them to supplement the regular food that we give to our large families.
