China Spring Boy Scout Troop 444 China Spring, Texas is home to Boy Scout Troop 444 - an active unit that emphasizes the 'outing in scouting'. Come Join! Visitors are always welcome.

We often go camping, hiking, orienteering, and attend leadership and outdoor training for both our scouts and adult leaders. China Spring Troop 444 meets every Tuesday evening 7:00-8:30pm in the 'Scout Hut' located behind the gym at the China Spring Old Intermediate School. Drive into the parking lot then walk through the gated area to the second portable classroom building (the Scout Hut). Walk u

p the ramp and come right in. The boys are very active in outdoor activities. We have a very strong adult leader corps but more are always welcome. Upcoming Flag Day distribution.

Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m. Meet at hut to break up into routes and pick up flags to post, we will be one route driver down, so extra hands/drivers would be helpful.

Tuesday, June 16 @ 7 p.m., meet at hut to break up into routes to retrieve flags. Any damaged flags need to be set aside for repair.

At Troop this week we will need to collect and Medical Forms (Parts A, B and C) for Summer Camp.
Saturday Morning 8:30 we will be doing Flags details for Memorial Day. We will meet at Bosqueville Cemetery which is on Rock Creek Road across from Bosqueville Methodist Church. From there we will proceed to Greater Bosqueville Cemetery then China Spring Cemetery. Flag routes-meet at the cemetery 8:30 Saturday and we will playthings by ear depending on the number of people we have.
If you know someone who might be interested in Scouting please invite them to join us Saturday morning. The more the merrier and the quicker we are done.

The following Saturday will be Memorial Day Weekend, and we will be doing Cemetery Flags and Flag Routes. More information next week.

Tonight was all about mastering the essentials. Our scouts dove into Basic Camping Skills, starting with the ultimate outdoor necessity: Fire Starting.
Each scouting group spent time honing their technique, learning the importance of tinder, kindling, and patience. To wrap up the night, we put those new skills to the test with a challenge: the everyone had to work together to successfully build and start a fire in under 5 minutes!

Watching them communicate and delegate on was the highlight of the evening. Great job to all our scouts for showing such teamwork and grit!
