Dear Heavenly Father,
Over these next few days, as homes glow with light and laughter,
We lift up the men and women who stand watch while the world sleeps.
Be near to the firefighter answering the call instead of opening gifts.
Cover the paramedic racing toward pain instead of rest.
Strengthen the law enforcement officer standing alert so others feel safe.
Give them steady hands and clear minds.
Guard their bodies, their hearts, and their spirits.
For the families waiting at home— the spouses, children, and loved ones— wrap them in peace when the sirens sound and the clock ticks long.
When the weight is heavy, be their strength.
When the scenes are hard, be their comfort.
When the shift is long, be their rest.
Remind them that on the night You came to earth,
You came as a Rescuer—bringing light into darkness, hope into fear, and peace into the broken.
May they feel seen, valued, and deeply loved this Christmas.
Bring them home safely.
And may the joy of Your presence meet them right where they are.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
