We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Afterschool Program Team Members to support elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a strong understanding of elementary curriculum standards, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
➢ Provide one-on-one or small group homework assistance sessions in reading and math for elementary school students.
➢ Assess students’ current skill levels and develop personalized learning plans to address their specific needs.
➢ Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning enjoyable and effective.
➢ Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents and director.
➢ Collaborate with director and parents to support students’ academic goals and address any challenges.
➢ Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Qualifications:
➢ Experience working with elementary school students, either in a tutoring or teaching capacity.
➢ Strong knowledge of reading and math curricula for elementary grades.
➢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
➢ Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students succeed.
➢ Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Compensation:
➢ $17.05 hourly
